I have ordered this CL coach and remember travelling on these back in the mid 70s from Kings cross to Welwyn garden city. The 2nd class also had toilet on the other side of the 1st class one with its own corridor, but like you say 1st and second classes had no connection between them ,but. Great video.

THE BR Mk1 57ft NON CORRIDOR COACH. But this is (again) the shorter version, built to negotiate the tightly curved tunnels under Kings X & St. Pancras. To gain access via the "Widened Lines" to Moorgate. So virtually confined to Suburban services out of Kings X to places like Royston & Cambridge, and from St. Pancras to Bedford. In other parts of Britain the longer 64ft (10 compartment) type was used. Including the Southern out of Waterloo, and the Western out of Paddington, and across the Country in general !!!!

@@railwaymechanicalengineer4587 yes didn't the st Pancras to Bedford ones only run until the class 127 dmus came along ? I just did the kings X to Welwyn Garden city with these coaches, as we lived in london around 1971 till about 1973 and my uncle and aunt lived there.

any idea which is the best model to feature common wealth bogies? I want to add all the types of bogies (BR1, BR4, commonwealth) to my collection
@ianstransporthistorystuff81752 ай бұрын
@@switches_slips_turnouts you could try and get some of the mainline/Replica Mark 1s as they have the BR1 and Commonwealth bogies.
