Hi again Danny, my class 55 Deltic in the superb Porterbrook livery was delivered today, I’m going to open the box and inspect it Xmas day, I forgot to say that I have a rare Bachmann class 57 in Porterbrook livery, it’s an amazing looking model, unfortunately it is 8 pin dcc ready, if you get a chance check it out mate, I hope we see some Porterbrook wagons and coaches at some stage in the future, all the best mate.

Hi Danny, happy Xmas and a happy new year to you and your family, very good review of the best class 55 Deltic money can buy, I’ve had one on order since the second run was first announced last year, this Porterbrook purple livery is superb, I’ve never owner a class 55 before so when I first saw videos on the Accurascale class 55 all those years ago I fell in love with the Porterbrook model and knew I had to get one, hopefully mine will be delivered before Xmas, did you see the Dapol announcement on their MRA wagon re-run for next summer? I have always wanted a rake of them.but I refused to pay the insane prices they were going for! Warped chassis and poor couplings caused issues back when they first appeared back in 2011/12, the latest versions will have magnetic couplings that work and stronger enhanced chassis and other upgrades that were needed, £190 for a rake is fine with me so I will probably get 2 rakes next summer in Network rail yellow livery, take care and thanks for sharing.

Hi, is that Hornby class 67 the Platinum jubilee model in the purple and white livery? If so I was looking at that model because it’s the model that’s in memory of the queen, I don’t really buy Hornby locomotives because of a few issues I had with their 21 pin HST models from a while back when they first came out, very poor motorised roof fan units that are not fit for purpose, I don’t think the class 67 in question is a limited model, if it was it would be for collectors club members only, I have a few 67’s in my collection I purchased years ago.

Dan if you fit crew like I do, Be very very careful with body removal the blue pipes are prone to springing off, If they do and you can find them I find it's best to glue them onto the white pipes in the area were they should be, You will find they are alot more secure, Best of luck, And remember you can remove buffer beam to fit pipes 2 screws underneath.

@IVERJUNCTION As you know Danny I spent a small fortune on 3 sound fitted Deltics from their 1st batch. All have problems in 1 way or another, the speaker sounds vibrations being the worst.
