This is the second half of my review of all songs from Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 along with my top 10 songs. Do I have a unpopular opinions? Of course I do. So, if you don't agree, that's fine, but please be respectful.
What are your fave songs from MESC this year? Who do you think will win? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.

Sorry this took longer than expected! Last week was quite busy, plus, editing this video took over 7 hours to do, and so, it was hard to find the time to work on it. But, I knew I had to release it before the first semifinal, which is already going to happen tomorrow night.

You're so respectful even when you're not on board with the song! Great reviews.

@@ds5379 Thank you for the compliment. And yeah, in my mind, you never know who's going to come across this video, and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, especially since I know how hard everyone worked on their songs, so that's why I try to be as respectful as possible :)

Yeah, I agree that Nathan’s song this year is better than last year’s, although my favourite of his entries is from MESC 2023. Let’s see if this year’s song grows on me after the live performance. I do have a feeling that maybe I ranked it a little too low in my top. So, I’m not 100% sure if I’m right, but my guess is that your last place is Wildflower. Am I right? As someone already pointed out, you were very respectful to all the entries, so it’s not actually that easy to tell. But I do feel like this is the song you struggled the most to say something nice about. Plus, what caught my attention is that you said Eurovision national selection is not really the best place for a song like this. I don’t remember if I told you this (or if you suspected it yourself), but for now, I actually prefer Miguel’s this year’s song. I also think it doesn’t help that he and Nathan will be in the same semi-final, though. I agree that Martina Borg’s “Yo Listen” does kind of stand out from the other girl bops, but just like you, I also feel like something is missing. On one hand, the chorus feels kinda interesting and cool, but at the same time, it lacks… idk, energy? Very curious to see how she’ll stage this. You said teenage girls and “some guys” would vote for Kelsey Bellante because she’s pretty… Well, don’t forget the gays, haha. They will eat up an iconic girl bop. The problem is just that there are so many to choose from. It won’t be an easy competition for her with Kant, but I think she’ll make it to the finals. Wow, that’s interesting about Kurt not spelling Maltese words correctly. And it’s so cool that you noticed that - I’m not sure how common those words he sings are, but either way, hearing you comment on his Maltese pronunciation is very impressive and shows how far you’ve come with learning it. Aww, it was so sweet watching you be so enthusiastic about your winner - Kantera’s song. I agree with you that the argument (which, btw, I hadn’t really heard before) that "this has been done so many times in Eurovision" doesn’t really make sense, since there are other genres that appear at Eurovision every year, often with multiple songs. Sooo, I predicted your top 3 right! (Which, well, to be honest, wasn’t too hard since it was more than clear from our private conversations and your reviews here that these were the three songs you enjoyed the most.) I’m so glad Heaven Sent made your top 10 after all! I know it wasn’t there on first listen. I wouldn’t say anything in your top 10 surprised me. It’s cool that 8 out of 10 songs in our top 10s are the same, just in different orders, of course. Can’t wait to see where Te Amo and Kant are for you!

I’d forgotten what Nathan’s 2023 entry sounded like, so I just played it again and I think it’s very good, but Concrete is more my kind of song since it’s more upbeat. Yeah Wildflower is my 24th place of all entries. And most likely will remain that way unless some of my other lower placed entries that are in SF2 end up being less enjoyable. But, you have to admit that with MESC being a TV show meant to entertain people, Wildflower just doesn’t stand out. And since it was an NQ, I would say most people felt the same. Yeah, I’ve known that you’ve preferred Miguel’s entry this year to “Better Off Alone” for a while - and you’re right that you didn’t need to say anything for me to know that. It was based off how high you ranked “Breaking the Silence” and things you’ve said about the entry in general. Sure, the gay guys like an iconic girl bop, but like we’ve talked about, there are so many of them and I think most of them will prefer “Kant” to “365” - but, idk about you, but I feel as though many gay guys do like pretty girls, just not for the same reasons straight guys do so I think they could still vote for her because she’s pretty. Well, the words Kurt used are pretty common, especially ħabib/ħabiba (friend - male and female) and illejla (tonight/evening). Għażiż/Għażiża isn’t so common since people don’t often call someone a ‘dear,’ you know? Btw, last night he called everyone ‘dears’ (when he finished his performance) so he used the plural, which is għeżież. This concludes your Maltese lesson for the day lol. Aww, thanks for saying it was so sweet watching me be so enthusiastic about Kantera! I mean, like, was anyone saying Armenia last year had been done so many times? It’s like Malta can never do anything original because people will still find a way to compare it to some other entry (see: comparing The Busker to Citi Zeni because they both had saxes in their song). But if they stick to the status quo, it’s getting old to so many people. Well, honestly, I would’ve expected you to predict my top 3 right since they were all in my top 20 NF songs video. I know you couldn’t wait to see where I had “Te Amo” - I’m sure you were disappointed that it wasn’t higher, but honestly, it’ll be higher after the show since you know I really enjoyed the performance.
