As someone who plays electric, acoustic guitar and ukelele, starting out is difficult. I recommend to search easy songs, or even chord patterns for begginers. But the key is practice. Practice makes perfect!

I wouldn't get it for a beginner, just because the strings are actually pretty painful, i would suggest a uke with softer strings to begin with, like soprano, they aren't crazy painful like the ranch. But once you become advanced then i recommend the ranch, it has a decent sound and its shape is comfortable, there are buttons for a strap and everything, especially since it comes with a padded case, tuner, and extra strings.

Hi friends! Be sure to share this video with anyone you know who is looking to invest in a beginner ukulele! Also, I want to briefly touch on the fact that the word "cheap" can mean different things to different people, and that's okay 😊. The prices of the ukuleles in this review video range from $35 to $65. Personally, I have had a difficult time finding ukuleles under $35 that don't constantly fall out of tune. When a ukulele has poor tuning retention, a lot of time ends up being spent on tuning the ukulele rather than practicing! That's why the title of this videos includes the word "BEST" ... Cheap Ukuleles; they each have their own set of pros and cons, yet there were enough pros with each of them that I felt comfortable reviewing them for you. I hope you understand!

Ryan Betts I think it will be easier to learn right-handed, because there are more resources readily available. I am also left handed but unless you feel that strumming with your left hand is important, stick to normal. :)

I have been playing guitar for about 5-6 years and I just got interested in ukulele’s. I bought an Oscar Schmidt OU5 Concert ukulele and I love it! It was a bit out of my price range, but I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in buying a bit more expensive, good quality uke.

I just got the ranch ukulele (In tenor size) and it is amazing!! It sounds wonderful, its in tune, has no fret buzz, and arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend it. (Plus the bag is vary thick and good quality)

1. I love these videos and your channel! 2. I own the Concert size of the Donner Spruce top and I would in total give it a 4/5. I agree on the frets and nut being sharp and over time, the nut has shifted slightly to the right. It is a great beginners ukulele and I find it easy to teach with!

Loving this review! I found a Donner soprano at a flea market that was unused ( in the box, litter bags unopened). I looked it up on Amazon and it goes for 35 to 40, depending on sales, I think. Beautiful brown color, sweet tone, stays in tune as nice as my Hricane concert. Love it!

I’ve been researching for a good wood figure eight ukulele to get that’s not too expensive since I’m still a beginner. Love these videos and how upfront and honest you are cause some times the reviews online are hard to tell whether or not it’s good or not. I’m so glad this video came out I’ve been waiting! I think I might get the ranch but I really love the makanu ukuleles which isn’t in the video but yeah!!!

I have the Donner DUS-3 and I like it. I wasn’t a fan of the strings so I switched them out for a set of aquilla strings. I just got a new soprano uke, the grace vanderwaal moonlight edition by fender. I like it so far. The only thing I don’t really care for is that the satin finish seems to show fingerprints no matter how clean my hands are. You should review that one too!

Hey, I need help please! I have this old cheap ukulele that I’m trying to learn but the strings are really hard to strum for me, they feel like just plastic and when I play them I feel like I always get a loud sound out of 1 string and the rest are quiet. It feels like my finger just gets kind of stuck up on the strings. Should I get a new ukulele or am I just strumming wrong????

just go to dollar tree and get one of their guitars. They tune decently and if it breaks you can get another one. I think you can change the strings too
