@@_floharveyI too was a bit meh on the first one, like « I don’t get the hype ». Then I read the second book and I was like « oooh, now I get it ». In another genre it was the same with Murderbot for me

🦋 I don't think we read any of the same books this year, but i read one i really think you would LOVE. 'The Lessons' by Naomi Alderman, it's about a very messy, dysfunctional group of friends in their twenties at Oxford uni and the effect their rich, charismatic, magnetic 'leader' has on their lives. Leader makes it sound culty but it's not! To me it was like 'Normal People', 'Saltburn' and elements of dark academia had a baby 😂

🦋 We Were Liars was awesome, such a good book. One you should probably read next year is Family of Liars: it's about their parents and some of the stuff that they had to go through.
