Hi- Love that you are showing Freezer paper- which already has the plastic, shiny wrap!! I have been doing the iron method- w/ my mini cricut iron- I thought that was a blast! _ Ive been using an oven liner- instead of parchment paper- so I could take my iron & go & iron napkins anywhere- With freezer paper- it consolidates- the wrap + cover paper- I will continue to use my oven liner, over my paperwork- it keeps my iron giding nicely over the project.. This was so exciting to learn- TY for showing this method- Love it! & following! happy Friday!! LOVE the box- I love making my own 12x12 cardstock paper.

Maam, I can not express how extremely important this video is for me. I am trying to make cards with napkin to sell for a specific religious Holiday as they are not sold in Hallmarks, Papyrus or anywhere else i hope my handmade cards will sell. I have ordered so many napkins from Etsy and was so worried about the wrinkles from mod podge attachment but THANKS to YOUR detailed, descriptive yet simple video tutorial I have transferred many napkins to the freezer paper without any wrinkles! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Best regards to you.

There's other way to do this. Using cardstock paper, typing paper, glad press' n seal, cheap multiple purpose sealing wrap, even thin plastic bag! I even use the plastic from laundry cleaners. Trim the plastic is close to the paper napkin and your cardstock or typing paper quart inches to half inches wider. I place another typing paper on top of the paper napkin. You will save a lot of money! Oh by the way use an old fabric to iron under the paper. I use to table with a tempered glass or craft glass, I have a Crafter Companion that I ordered from HSN. I sure you can find one at the Dollar stores or Wal Mart in the Kitchen Dept. They came use when use craft inks, paints, glue, and other things! You can use craft silicone mat! Well, I hope I have help any one out there. Just check other videos at You Tube using paper napkin for more information or ideas! Good luck!

if your freezer paper won't work you can still do this with plastic wrap the kind you put over left over food to keep it, then just fuse it to copy paper. If you can't get that then you still can do it like I did with making beads with napkins here is the link to that video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bauQlaadoKuhf7s I hope this gives you some ideas now if you are going to do the glue method use copy paper so it is light weight like freezer paper would be... happy crafting and let me know how it works for you please...

I quilt and have used freezer paper to make applique templates to make cutting the fabric out easier. The freezer paper peels off the fabric very easily. It probably would not have a lot of staying power on fabric. I peel the templates off and reuse them when making quilt blocks. Hope this answers your question. ☺
@NancyVastine6 жыл бұрын
do you use the freezer paper that has the plastic wrap on one side? Does your fabric stick to that side? I do not know if the adhesive would make it come loose or not. When I adhere the napkin with glue it doesn't come loose. I guess you would have to try a little bit to find out let me know please.
@marilynmatthews4796 жыл бұрын
I use Reynolds freezer paper with the adhesive on one side. I iron the paper adhesive side down to the wrong side of the fabric then once I have cut the pieces out I peel the freezer paper off and reuse until the adhesive doesn't work any more. I have used this technique to stabilize fabric to draw on it but it really isn't a long term thing if you are going to be handling it a lot. I think it bonds to the paper because it is thinner and the adhesive absorbs more into the fibers where fabric is denser.
@NancyVastine6 жыл бұрын
when you say adhesive are you talking about the plastic wrap that is on one side of the freezer paper?
@kellercrucita5507 жыл бұрын
Hi, thinks so much for sharing. Is it possible to use wax paper or baking paper instead of parchment paper?
@lw79675 жыл бұрын
Do not use wax paper but baking paper should be the same thing as parchment paper. Actually a piece of computer paper will work, it is just so the plastic coating of the freezer paper won't melt onto your iron. If the computer paper happens to stick to the freezer paper, don't worry, you will be trimming it later anyway!

The best way to fuse a napkin, is to use card stock lay a piece of plastic wrap on it then lay your napkin over plastic and cover all with a piece of parchment paper and iron.
@NancyVastine6 жыл бұрын
yes I understand there are differen't ways to bond napkins but some plastic wrap is hard to handle and this way you don't how to use card stock because you have your freezer paper. So if you think your way is easier then that is fine I wanted to show another way.TFW.

I adhered a napkin to card before successfully, but I tried it again last month and it didn't stick at all!! Are there different types of plastic wrap? Does it matter if it's microwave safe or not (as that means it doesn't melt in heat which is what we want it to do...)

This video stretches out into 10 minutes what could be explained in less than 5! Basic idea is good, but the explanation is tedious and repetitive. Why not add another skill such as how you made the box? Showing a basic template would allow people to use their imagination and sense of creativity to develop the idea further.

Went to your channel cathy and it said "This channel does not have any content"; which means you have no idea how to video and instruct anyone on anything. It actually takes quite a bit of organization to put together even a five minute video which has value for others to watch. People who make videos and make them look "easy" are quite skilled.

well you can have your opinion that is fine. However if you did a lot of crafting you would find a lot of uses for this paper. It is really unkind of you to go around trying to tear down others who do crafts I see your channel is nothing so please keep your comments to yourself.
