🦋 I have used this same technique, probably 34 yrs ago, when my two oldest daughters were small. Then, using the same technique, I made a couple of little “Rudolf” appliqués, and made the girls some Christmas aprons, for holiday baking & crafting. Your cards were nicely done!🦋

I loved this!! I am no longer a scrapper. But my mom was a master seamstress and what she made with her hands way back when because I'm 64 was magnificent we were scrapping before it was popular. This was just beautiful. I don't know why it came up on my KZbin because I am an orchid grower and that's why I watch KZbin that and chihuahuas but your video came out and I loved it thank you. I did this a hundred years ago, but with M.D. And on baskets. Then went to wooden magazines holders. Loved all and looked pretty good. After watching your excellent video I can't wait to start ironing after all these years of just ironing paper when I made. I enjoyed this so much and can't wait to see what clever goodie you come up with next. Thank you so much...

Great technique! I save the bottom, white layers from the napkins to use as collage material. Either just plain, to add extra texture, or stamp on them with permanent ink and then use like you would patterned tissue paper or decoupage paper.

I just stumbled across this tutorial... and I’m hooked!! I have a load of REALLY old paper napkins that were amongst my late Nan’s belongings... I couldn’t bring myself to use them as the memories were too precious. Some of the napkins must be over 40 years old as I remember them from my childhood!! I’ve decided to use this technique to turn them into artwork. Some are SO delicate now, that I’m scared that they’ll just fall apart, so this will stabilise them. Great video! And you have a new subscriber!

I had never seen this before and I have been in the craft industry since 1989 working for a major manufacturer. I had heard napkin tutorials and assumed it was the type where you spray adhesive on the back of the napkin and then dust with glitter inside. This is amazing. I will be doing some of these. Paper wishes also has paper with linen texture in 8x8 pads of several different color families. I love the texture, but hate the price, so I shop around and found that. Thanks again.

I’m thinking that you could even cut them down even smaller & frame them separately to use as photos for the bathroom, bedroom or wherever. Them are some beautiful napkins by the way. I’ve even seen other videos that use the same technique for applying them to clothing like a decal, putting them on canvas to resemble a painting, or many other uses in which the possibilities are endless. Great work by the way!!!!!!!!!!

A handy tip for those that got the sole plate of their irons gooped up ..... while the plate is hot, very carefully wipe it with new or used dryer sheets. Tongs might save burned fingers. Your iron will be clean as a whistle. I've even removes fusible web from my pressing pad. Heat the pad with your iron on top of a dryer sheet and while hot, rub the pad with your dryer sheet. 8/2018.

Another little helpful hint is, once you have done cutting the edges, go back over the napkins and parchment with the iron just to make sure all the edges are sealed down. For anyone interested I used glad cling wrap, but I will be heading to the dollar store to try out a cheaper brand. I also put my iron on the linen setting.

Hi Mark : ) First let me apologize for not saying "gents" at the time when I filmed this video. I now make sure I remember to say ladies and gents in my intros, sometimes I forget but I have made a really good effort to do this since filming this video a couple of years ago. I absolutely do NOT want to make you or any other gentleman feel not welcome. Yes...you can do this on canvas. I did film a follow up video testing this after another subscriber asked me about it (Video is titled "Paper Napkin To Canvas Tutorial). I will link it for you at the end of this reply. I don't know if will be an actual hyper-link or not but you can copy/paste the link info and watch it that way if not. I made some additional wall art for my daughter's bathroom while testing this out on canvas and two years later it still looks as good as it did the day I made it. I don't think I've ever tried it on painted canvas though but I can put that on my list of projects to try. We just moved back to Oregon after living in Florida for two years so my craft supplies are still packed up. We've only been home for two weeks. I say this in case you might want to search on YT to see if anyone else has tried this on painted canvas since it will be a few months before my craft room will be remodeled, unpacked and ready to go. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave me a comment : ) Video Link/URL: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6WUhGljfqaKgrs

Many thanks for this awesome procedure and I am really envious of your napkin stock. Mine supply comes wholly from stock purchased online at a $1 a napkin (truly expensive). I am only sorry that the sarcasm of some Millenniums and Snowflakes have crept into craft. It is ashame that we have to now put up with their malicious whinging in the comments, here as well as everywhere else in our lives. There are many of us who appreciate the efforts that people go to, in order to share their knowledge with us. Please keep sharing and ignore rude critics

Wow! Just landed in your channel and I’m over the moon! I’ve got so many napkins that I use for decoupage mainly on glass or wood but never thought that this could be done on card as well. Thank you so much for sharing this great tutorial. It’s going to be really useful. Elisa xx

This is awesome. Designer card stock is so expensive, this is a great alternative. So many possibilities! Thanks.
