That's a tricky proposition. I work in foodservice, and the *biggest* thing people want when going out to eat is consistency. If they order a sandwich and get it on different bread every single day, there would be some people that enjoy the experience. A *lot* of people would not. That's ignoring the sheer volume of produce that restaurants work through--having an inconsistent supply would not work at scale, even if it does drive you to explore at home.

Of all of them the bread one is by far the most appealing. The flexibilty to choose one, two, three or four boxes a month is great and looks like it does some good as well. Very tempted to try even though we don't currently use a lot of bread - might encourage some new recipe searching as well. All the others I think I'd rather just hit some random items in my weekly shop to get the variety that way as they don't seem to offer huge value for money (for those of us outside of London prices!) You get sent 3 half bottles of wine plus a box of food nibbles that are paired with each wine. At the event, it’s a live broadcast interview with the chef where they talk about the wine and food pairing plus you get to ask the chef questions. It’s a great introduction into wine plus makes a great evening event at home. I’d totally recommend!

I live in Southern Colorado, and the idea of a canned wine pairing at a campfire cookout would be awesome! We camp all the time, and glass is a big no-no in the National Forest. However a fresh caught pan seared Salmon in a cast iron with some foraged chanterelles and a sparkling rose to go with sounds super rad! No more slapping the bag for this foodie!

Will definitely be trying out the Earth and Wheat subscription! We're only a 2 person household but I reckon the once per month/once every 3 weeks delivery would be great for us, the pancakes and pittas etc. would freeze really well so you wouldn't need to get through the whole box super fast. Love it - seems like a great idea and great value, thanks for sharing it!!

The bread one look realy good. And I despise wasting food. But I'd struggle to use up all that bread as a single household. Especially trzing to cut down even more on white wheat.

When I was a kid the local bakeries donated the extra/unsold bread to nearby daycares and after school cares at the end of the day, because they had to throw it out otherwise. This is a great idea for using up excess bread products!

@@devium helloFresh is decent. $100usd/week for 3 meals (4 person meals) was a bit much for me. I used to do all my grocery shopping for 3 at the first of the month. $400-$430/month, 3 meals a day for 3 people. The recipes are always good. There are several options a week to choose from, as well as customization for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and I believe keto diets. Produce and meats have always been good quality. The breads, I haven't been a fan of.

You showed us how quickly we can make fresh pasta, so we'd choose that over getting a pasta subscription. We currently have a coffee subscription - for whole beans - and get a couple of types each month. We make our own bread, using a Zojirushi machine so you know its great, but that price and freshness of the bread intrigues us - sadly we're in the U.S. and are unaware of any bakery delivery service of excess inventory. The wine in the can - Barry sold it to us - we started out saying canned wine is a hard no but after hearing Ben describe the can lining and reception from those in the know about wine and Barry's lip-smacking taste test, we'd actually consider it! Well done!

Oh I would try them all just to give it a go! I make my own fresh pasta at home so the pasta one isn't going to be a go-to for me but the rest? Yes!! Let’s see a video of the boys running a pop up kitchen. James and Ben need to show off their chief cred, and the normals can be waiters, bartenders etc And of course Janice can design the menu Edit: it could be a cool multi part video talking about different aspects like designing a menu, preparation and other things most people don’t even consider

The can wine looked pretty cool. As someone who doesn't know a lot about them and needs to widen my palette more, it would definitely help. Plus, I like the cans from a storage perspective. I had a wine subscription a couple years ago; I think they would send 6 bottles of a month and it was annoying storing that (or more if we didn't drink it all in a timely manner)

I signed up to earth and wheat after this and I definitely recommend! You get fairly similar things every time but it's a small relatively new business and I'm sure when more bakeries across the UK join in there will be much more variety! However all you do get is wonderful and absolute staples of the kitchen
