Were your school yearbooks cringeworthy/awkward/funny? Also, this is a video where (unsurprisingly) we learn that you should spend your time doing things you actually enjoy 🆚 just trying to check off boxes so you're doing the *MOST* things.

I wish my elementary school had Yearbooks where I live. At least I got my 8th-12th yearbooks.

Haha I love how in America you have a yearbook for every year. In my school in Ireland, you could get badges for your uniform for every extra ciricular that you took on, and if you did a lot of work for them you got a trohpy for each one at our final year graduation ceremony. I'll never forget the histerical laughter of my teachers as my name was called for every single trophy and I went up collecting each one in my uniform adorned with over a dozen badges. 😂 But yes, totally get the whole intensity managment struggle and needing to stop and smell the roses more! 😂

It is definitely in part a money/making racket. 😅 But it is cool to go back and see your photo and candidates of classmates. (It’s also useful to look up people you’ve forgotten existed lol). Also Boy/Girl Scouts are just an American thing, right? Because the collecting of badges on your uniform reminds me of that!

Our yearbooks were pretty rudimentary affairs. There were a few pictures of students and teachers variously playing foorball or rugby, cross country running (I hated that, we were forced into it) or on school holidays I never went on. They had advertisements for small local businesses and one or two larger ones. A couple of stories submitted by students. Articles about the computer club. Our school was split into five years. Each year set of students had a photo in the yearbook. Those were the only evidence in the yearbooks of my existence. I was happy about that. By the way, love your tie-dyed t-shirt!

So no trying to fill up space with ridiculous quotes and staged photos? 😅 Also Eric was definitely more like you with the only evidence of his existence being in mandatory yearly photo! Also that tie-dye shirt is one of my favs. It’s actually one of my sleep shirts, and I’ve reached the pandemic stage of “why change into a “presentable” shirt if this one does the job? 😂😬😭

@@iIMAGINEblank I have to admit I've only been wearing "proper" clothes for leaving the house. Otherwise the order of the day has been H-U-G-E t-shirts from when I was enormously fat and old tracksuit bottoms. Perhaps not aesthetically pleasing (although what with beauty being in the eye of the beholder...) but superbly comfortable indoors in the sweaty summer of Manchester.

😂😂😂 And yet a group photo every year! I’m glad I’m not crazy and haven’t just blacked out that part of high school or something.

@@iIMAGINEblank It's very possible we both blacked out. I also remember nothing from NHS.
