Nicely done. You did not mention if you are running an aftercooler

@2000gillco not running a cooler on the setup currently. I have 45ft of piping to my 3 stage filters. All of my air system piping and filtration will be upgraded at some point in the near future. Just have to find the time

@@inthehomeshop Got it. I am at the point in my business where "done for me" is usually better than "do it myself," but you should consider the radiator behind the pump. It was a pretty straight forward adaptation, and the airflow is free, as you use the flywheel fan. Then drop a pipe down to a low spot to collect condensation, then back to your supply line to the other room. I run paint and media blasting, so we have gone overboard with filters, and droplines that first go up and then down, all looking to collect water somewhere other than at that tool it is intended. Everyone told me we had to buyer a refrigerated dryer, but this works, and we probably capture 70 to 80 percent of the total condensation in that first radiator connection, and also it is reducing the temperature of the airflow. For you, you can get that done in 2 or 3 hours.

Hi, what is the total width ? Thanks
@inthehomeshop2 ай бұрын
I will measure that for you sometime today. Do you want width of the pallet it's mounted on or the unit itself? I'm assuming the unit

I ordered an air dryer. It blew an oring first 5 mins it was hooked up. They sent parts I fixed it and now it's leaking from a split in the fitting on the automatic drain. When I received my unit from eaton it was shipped upside down strapped on the pallet. The clamp that held the oring that blew out, was broke had black sharpie all over it and the 90 degree elbow has hammer beat marks on it. Now they won't refund my money and want to send a technician out to fix it. This is the 2nd time it's broke in 3 weeks stay clear from eaton. I don't want an air dryer i have to fix every 2 weeks. i thought eaton was a stand up company but apperantly i was wrong. Save yourself the trouble and go with a different company

Dude that's weird!I've dealt with them in the past through shops I've worked at and everything has always been awesome. Did you order straight through Eaton?

Hello, this is Matt Cain, President and CEO of Eaton Compressor. Everyone that knows our company and/or has our product know that we are a stand-up company. That is how we do business and the only way we will ever do business. My rotary screw tech, Bert, has 17 years of experience working with our company. Bert is a excellent lead tech with lots of patience. Bert brought this situation to my attention yesterday (7/10). He said it took many attempts to calm you down before he could even talk to you. You were using an excessive amount of profanity, which he cannot deal with until you talk reasonably. Our side of the story is that your side signed for a dryer that was upside down when you received it, saying that the product was okay. The freight company should take care of any damage that was done during transit. Since you signed that the product was okay, this took the responsibility away from the shipping company. Refrigerant products, such as your air dryer, has very delicate internal components. That is the reason why the product cannot be transported upside down, or any other way other than upright. This dryer is on a solid 36"x36" heavy duty pallet, with a box covering the product and pallet to attempt to avoid damage. Being a STAND UP company, we offered to do the right thing by sending replacement parts, free of charge, to fix the O-ring flange that was broken. This flange is not made to ride like it was, or it will fail/break, as it did in your case. This part was sent to you, and installed by you, fixing the problem. Now, you have a fitting on the auto drain, that failed, due to the shipping issue. All of our boxes have "FRAGILE" stickers. If this would have been looked at when it was received, we could have put the burden back on the freight company. Now the burden is put back on our company, in which we still attempted to make you a satisfied customer. Even now, before I saw your comment, Bert still offered and was trying to get a technician to fix your broken fitting. We have the signed document from the freight company that it was received in "good condition". We also know that we have attempted to work with you in every way possible. We have all the documentation, if needed in the future. We are sorry that your case turned out this way, but we have tried everything in our power to make you a satisfied customer. We will continue to do so until this issue is resolved. Thanks and God Bless, Matt

@@MattCain-qb7tq awesome way to handle this. ill be calling shortly to put an order in

@@MattCain-qb7tq There are all kinds. I know. I bought a 5hp Polar from you 6 years ago. It still exceeds our modest needs. We had an issue with delivery, and your team stood behind what was probably an estimating error on their part for "in home delivery", and all turned out and I am sure you lost money on the transaction. Your product has been working well, and we are looking at new location, and I am shopping for an air compressor, and Eaton remains top of my list. I am working through 5, 7.5 or 10 HP. Learning about the silient operation. Not sure we need that. I see you offer aftercoolers. I had installed a car radiator, and bolted to the back of the pump and used the airflow and it worked well, but I will take a look at factory installed. So, thanks for running a stand-up company. If you get the chance to reply: Is there any difference between a Polar brand and the yellow compressors, which I understand to be common ownership?
@inthehomeshop2 ай бұрын
@2000gillco I know I'm not Matt but I just went through some of the comparisons so I wanted to reach out. The yellow EMAX line and Blue Polar Air compressors are essentially the same compressor. EMAX is just for distributor sales basically. Polar Air is direct from Eaton. In my experience, Air Compressors Direct was backordered for several weeks. I reached out to Eaton about the P.A. and it was half the wait time, I want to say only about 3 weeks. Price was right at the same and I also was able to get a better warranty directly with Eaton than going through a 3rd party. Just my 2 cents. I'll definitely stick with Eaton in the future. Their help, even after the sale, has been phenomenal
