Such a lovely video. I loved how indepth and detailed you went with your reviews, it was the perfect mix of showing us around the town as if we were there with you. its 100% i want to go. do you think it is a place you can go on your own or best to be with a group? x

Thank you so much.. glad I could help you ☺️ I definitely think it’s more of a group place just because I even noticed there were more 4+ groups than just 2 people. But nothing wrong in a solo adventure ☀️ don’t forget to subscribe and press the notification bell so that you get notified when I upload my future travel vlogs - including sailing the Cyclades this Sunday 🤩

Mykonos is uniquely beautiful in these light-hearted video clips. However, the UGLY truth beneath this surface of picturesque and attractive ambience and architecture is that the whole island, once the retreat of preference for international classy celebrities (writers, composers, Nobel prize laureates, painters, opera singers, Hollywood actors) and very-old-money tycoons, is nowadays riddled with sheer lawlessness, tax evasion, drug trafficking, prostitution, money laundering and oligarchs and sheiks that brutally exploit the seasonal Greek workers of the island (waiters, hotel employees, cleaners, cooks, technicians etc) and treat everybody like trash. The island's villages and country side are way over-built in disregard of all urban laws and limitations, while hotels, villas and restaurants charge go-go exorbitant prices (way above anyone would dare charge in a Caribbean-level island). Mykonos does NOT welcome average tourists (well off or not-so-well-off) anymore. It definitely has stopped attracting celebrities long ago. It is typically host to ostentatious, nouveau-riche clientele, cruise-ship travelers that visit the island just for a lunch, and young people who can marginally afford to spend one or maybe two nights on the island just to brag to their friends that had been there. Avoid it at all costs, primarily in the "tourist season" from late April to late September. Mykonos is just another island in fast, dark, irreversible decay.
