REVIEWING MYKONOS HOTSPOTS *Cavo Tagoo, Scorpios, Spilia, Buddha Bar, Kiki's* | Travel Vlog #32

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my KZbin channel. Today's video is about my first time in Mykonossss !! AIt's everything I could have imagined.. and more!!! It's a crazy place! 😍 I went with my family so it’s a different experience to many but still had fun! I had 5 days which is actually more than enough because it kinda becomes repetitive days; so here are all the hotspots I tried and reviewed for you 🥰
0:00 Buddha Bar!
First stop was Buddha Bar and everyone agreed it was their favourite.. I think mostly because the service was impeccable, great food and atmosphere and ofc it was the first night so it was all completely new to us.
03:30 Cavo Tagoo
Arguably the most instagrammable sunset and infinite pool in Europe and it truly didn't disappoint. Come early if you want photos without loads of people and to be able to take your time because once the sunset is at its peak people are literally queuing up ahhaha (and not just the girls). We didn't find the food in Meraki exceptional so would definitely recommend sunset drinks and to go to Zuma instead (which is also part of the hotel but right next door)
06:30 Alec Monopoly & Private Party
Alec monopoly signed my Dad's cast!!! He had no clue who he was but it was really nice because obviously it was devastating that my dad broke his ankle. Then we went to a private villa party and the DJ Amémé showed up - which was sick.
10:05 Kiki's Tavern
MUST GO !!!! If I had to recommend one place.. it would be this!!! Real Greek hospitality and authenticity because you can't make reservations (no matter who you are.. some people tried name dropping and were just told to get to the back of the line). The owner brings around free rosé while you wait and the view is just breathtaking. Also lovely public beach to go for a dip and just relax.
14:08 Scorpios
The most famous place, but also most disappointing with regards to service. Staff were incredibly rude and stuck up - probably because the people that go there just throw money and don't care. They sunset was nice (but Cavo Tagoo was a million times better) it is also really far out so I don't know.. food was deilsh but we weren't able to enjoy as we were constantly being reminded that we had to leave after 2 hours. Happy I went, but wouldn't go again.
18:08 Little Venice
Really pretty and exactly how you would imagine Greece - the cafes are so cute and the shops incredible!!! I especially loved that the majority was from Greek designers - support locals! Only heads up is that we did go to a couple of other island where we found the exact same stuff for at least €30 cheaper.
24:42 Spilia
Make a reservation (well like everywhere tbh). It was nice, beautoful view and cool vibe if youre with a group downstairs but again the food wasn't exceptionally different so been there done that.

Mykonos is uniquely beautiful in these light-hearted video clips. However, the UGLY truth beneath this surface of picturesque and attractive ambience and architecture is that the whole island, once the retreat of preference for international classy celebrities (writers, composers, Nobel prize laureates, painters, opera singers, Hollywood actors) and very-old-money tycoons, is nowadays riddled with sheer lawlessness, tax evasion, drug trafficking, prostitution, money laundering and oligarchs and sheiks that brutally exploit the seasonal Greek workers of the island (waiters, hotel employees, cleaners, cooks, technicians etc) and treat everybody like trash. The island's villages and country side are way over-built in disregard of all urban laws and limitations, while hotels, villas and restaurants charge go-go exorbitant prices (way above anyone would dare charge in a Caribbean-level island). Mykonos does NOT welcome average tourists (well off or not-so-well-off) anymore. It definitely has stopped attracting celebrities long ago. It is typically host to ostentatious, nouveau-riche clientele, cruise-ship travelers that visit the island just for a lunch, and young people who can marginally afford to spend one or maybe two nights on the island just to brag to their friends that had been there. Avoid it at all costs, primarily in the "tourist season" from late April to late September. Mykonos is just another island in fast, dark, irreversible decay.
