To me it always looks like they have the best time playing netrunner, more than any other game. Its THE game that brought me to the covenant cast

Will always be here for your Netrunner content! So many great memories. So fun to see you both revisiting this game via Nisei! - as if all from a half-remembered dream I also shared - “was it… Dave Holland? 🤔 There was Kate and then there was Kit 🤔“ - So weirdly comforting :) I still have and love and use your Netrunner tokens!

I was looking at how non-MtG games worked and went looking for how to play Netrunner and found this channel at the start of the pandemic just before you started doing throw back Thursdays. I picked up system gateway and love it, and it's the only tcg/lcg my wife is enthusiastic about which is a huge plus as well. Appreciate the introduction!

Played System gateway and startup for a few months. Loved it but had a kiddo and took a break. Looking forward to playing again. Yesterday my brother asked me if there is a tabletop game that compares to esports. Tabletop and esports are very different animals but I told him that for both playing and watching Netrunner is the best, and then told him the whole netrunner Nisei story. We talked for a bit then co-watched your system gateway Nisei stream as a teaching tool so that we can start playing together.

Wow, that old video was when I got introduced to you lovely folks at Team Covenant. Great time for gaming and lcg's pushing into the competitive card games scene. Remember the many hours spent listening to you guys and Bad Publicity and many others. Netrunner was something unique for sure.

Thank you for doing this review/showcase! It's fun to see you guys switch between netrunner action and table talk about the theoretical colors of the wind. I haven't actually played Netrunner yet, but the marine theme on Midnight Sun is absolutely beautiful and making me very interested. Thank you for showing it off!

I started playing when original core was release. I also dropped out around Mumbad. I play Nisei startup (System Gateway and Booster + System Update + Ashes Cycle + Midnight Sun) with a group of friends, and it is arguably the best Netrunner has ever been. Would love to see you guys "deep dive" down the Nisei rabbit hole. Your games are always the most fun to watch.

Netrunner (1996) is one year older than Knizia's Tigris and Euphrates (1997) so no question games that are still played 25 years after their release can be called a classic.
@ubergamejunkie2 жыл бұрын
If you count FFG and NISEI years together, which you should because the two games are compatible, the second version of Netrunner has been going 10 years strong. If that's not a classic, I dunno what is.

1:18:45 you guys managed to get almost 80 minutes in before discussing the amount of clicks of the corps. Calling it a Personal Evolution is maybe a bit big, but I'm glad its not the end of the replicated perfection of this endless iteration ;) Thanks for the video's, you got me hooked again!

Fun bit of theming on Endurance - that was also the name of the ship used by the Shackleton Antarctic Expedition. Ironically, it was trapped in and eventually crushed by the ice.

Midnight Sun is so solidly designed. Nisei has been knocking it out of the park since System Gateway (Ashes felt a bit rough to me, as their first set). The card quality off of the POD services they partner with is fantastic and I've been really impressed by the quality of the art they've been commissioning for their original cards -- it's super gratifying to see several of my favorite regular Android: Netrunner FFG freelancers continuing their work on Netrunner with Nisei, in fact!

Hey! Got into the game in 2018 as an out of the box heads up game with my housemate (just revised core). Discovered TC when we were googling the rules / how to play and by the time I wanted to go to meetups discovered the game had been 'cancelled'. It remains the only lifestyle game I have or probably ever will play, we had a GNK here in Sydney a few weeks back and I think there were 13 players - so not huge, but for a game you have do a bit of work to get the cards, pretty good I reckon - most of us play with only NISEI.

In response to the question at the end of the stream, NISEI has me thrilled and playing Netrunner for the first time since Mumbad Cycle (and I was playing it from day one!). Seeing a lot of pick up in interest and even new folks getting interested too thanks to what NISEI's been able to pull off.

Sold all my Netrunner collection for 300 bucks Australian to a mate, kept a few decks though just for the nostalgia games, haven't bought into Nisei as the whole legal issue is a moral dilemma, and now having bought into FaB, I doubt I could get back into Netrunner unless these legal issues were solved, and you guys offered subscriptions etc. The cards seem fantastically well balanced and really in the classic netrunner feel. Great stream.
@jkennethking9 ай бұрын
I used to use the Covenant subscription service to get all those packs as they came out. Good times. That and then GoT 2.0... even though we don't have a very big LCG community where I am. Really enjoyed these games none the less.

I always hate when you two do a Netrunner stream... all it does is make me want to put all other games away, ignore life, and go play Netrunner!! This game is fantastic, easily top 5 game for me. I haven't played a game of it in yrs, but when NISEI took over, I made sure I was buying all the packs; never know when a game can happen. Both of you, enjoy your trips!! Bermuda and Paris are, obviously, both great destinations.

I loved Netrunner, but it was very hard to get people to learn the original. The amount of traps and splashes made new players scared to run. The System Gateway really helped balance that all out and it's been way easier to get new people to play.

Guys.... I'd like to request a formal tourney in netrunner... the rules are simple. It is a best of 5. You create a deck for each role, as best as you can, including the catalyst and the syndicate. When the tourney begins you choose a deck at random for round 1. For each round after that you switch roles (Corp one round, runner the next) In the fifth round you flip a coin and winner chooses which side. Decks will use what I call Legacy of the New Order, which would be only cards from NISEI, none from fantasy flight or wizards. The loser presents the winner with a trophy card!

But Caprice isn't around anymore, right? Pinhole being good in relation to a busted card might not make Pinhole good! But yeah, surely it's quite solid.
