I wouldn't count versatility as a factor to say a fragrance is a 10/10 or not. Maybe a fragrance is the best for winter formal events for instance, and I can't think of a better one for that occasion. That's a 10 in my book, even if I can't wear it during the summer

Freshie: d&g light blue eau intense. Mont Blanc Explorer. All occasions: blue fragrances, ysl Y Edp or other flankers, sauvage edp or my fave, Bleu de chanel parfum which smells amazing but is on the pricier side. Parties, clubbing compliment getters: JPG Le Male Le parfum/Ultra Male. Spicebomb Extreme is excellent for fall winter. YSL L'homme for the netflix and chill because that scent is cozy.

I think a good requirement for teenagers is affordable price. John varvatos artisan line is super cheap nowadays! Fresh and more youthful aromas

Fragrances that instantly put a smile on my face the second I smell them are my 10 out of 10. Right now those are Layton, L'Heure Verte, and La Nuit De L'Homme EDT. Will never get tired of them. ❤

Exactly. For me, that is TF Black Orchid EDP. Recently Im rocking Red Tobacco, which is also an easy 10/10 considering the drydown and the sillage, but the opening is still somewhat outputting. The original Chanel Egoiste EDT is also close to something I'd call a perfect fragrance.

I think if a fragrance was the precursor it deserves the high mark in the creative category! It’s the inspired fragrances that don’t deserve it.

For me Interlude Black Iris and Beau de Jour are perfect 10 in their category. I would add to this list Naxos for sure and my own 10/10 - Sancti from Liquides Imaginaries.

Yes Beau de Jour is a 10/10 barbershop fragrance. I tried Naxos and it wowed me, looking to get the full bottle but I’ve never tried Black Iris.

10 out of 10... It depends. If it is for the right occasion, Fugazzi Goudh. Otherwise PDM Layton, and Narsciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir EDP. Last one is a freshie, but even in winter it performs excellent. And it is something different. Everyone is wearing Sauvage or BDC.

Most Mancera frags seem a good bang for the buck.. my prefered one is still Cedrat Boisè Intense. The problem i have with very niche houses like Amouage is just that their juice costs a lot and i 'd wear them only on special occasions and when i dress up a lot. I think a real 10/10 should be more wearable and generally versatile.

Great video. I really like what you are doing to explain fragrances and from your point of view from other fragrance reviewers. Mancera is an awesome fragrance house. From Mancera I own Cedrat Boise and it gets me plenty of compliments. You say wear Oud lemon mint in the spring/summer time and another reviewer said no summertime. This is where you must and must again purchase a sample to try for your skin. Amouage is steps above, and I have Interlude Man along with beach hut man. Maybe not 10/10 to many noses but to me, I love these fragrances.

I love Stronger with You Absolutely. It’s the most I’ve spent on a fragrance so far and I give it 9/10. The only fragrance I own that I would give 10/10 is Gisada Ambassador EDP. The best way I can describe it is like a Mango Sauvage. Super Beast Mode, 2-3 sprays lasts 12+ hours on my skin and pulls more compliments than any other fragrance I regularly wear. I’ve actually layered it with Mr Maritime and the two different mango notes really compliment each other.

Ideally, straight men generally only care what women think smells good. Not that guys can't have an opinion. But if your a straight man? Do you really care what other men think smells good? For example..Creed Aventus? Women seem ambivalent towards it. Some like ok, some don't mind it. Men Love it, go nuts for it. I only wear it when in meetings with my boss, or when alot of fellas are gathered together..its a scent that engenders respect w guys.

Oh yeah, orris butter is extremely expensive. You probably can mimmic iris nuance in the formula by blending Ionones and Vanillin, haha. You have described TF BDJ very accurately, but common man😂, the olfactive profile is just phenomenal. I think it owns a beautiful chypre complexity though.

When ever you mention SWY Absolutely you always sad not to own Azzaro The Most Wanted Intense. I own both of these and I love these in a different way. I think these are not as similar as you say, but I agree these are in the same genre. SWY Absolutely is more vanilic and bozzy. Most Wanted Intense is a woody, sweet i the base and a bit spicier fragrance.
