Reviewing the 1/18 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 560 SEL (W126) Dealer Edition by Norev

The W126 is the most iconic of the classic Mercedes S-Classes and enjoys a cult status among many which the W116 can't reach and the W140 only gets close to; partly due to its long production run lasting for 12 years (but spanning 3 decades) and the number of units sold compared to all other S-Classes. From West German diplomats over middle eastern taxi drivers and tropical dictators to eastern european rappers, this car has seen many worlds.
I managed to pick one up back in mid 2020 before they started disappearing. It's a decade old Norev casting but remains a desired collector's item nonetheless, especially because Autoart only made the C126 coupe and didn't make the sedan version and this one is fully opening compared to the current iscale alternative.
Pros:
extended wheelbase version
detailed engine for a sedan
has suspension
ribbed tail lights
warning triangle inside the trunk
detailed undercarriage
beige interior
comes with mercedes badge on front grille and fabric seatbelts compared to the initial (black, silver) release
Cons:
black pegs on headlights and tail lights
stickers cover up the two center air vents on the dashboard
trunk doesn't stay open (just my model?)
rear suspension rides a little higher than the front (just my model?)
front steering could be smoother and have a wider turn radius
