I'm currently reading A man called Ove (hoping to finish tomorrow so I can watch Ellen's video) and absolutely love it. I've been crying like crazy 🤪

what a great reading month! tainted cup is on my tbr. I just watched mans' review and she had the same con about your trulys and the miscommunication. it's a trope that I don't love either.

I really thought that was your actual bookshelf in the background. I stared at it for ages 😂 I was on team not enough spice for Yours Truly. But mostly because I adored Jacob and Bri together. I do agree that there were a lot of miscommunication between the two of them. I wanted everything between in them beginning through the whole of it. But I still thoroughly enjoyed it because I could relate to Jacob a lot with the awkward social-ness and how I don't really enjoy loud/new places! 🥰 I'm SO excited for JFTS. I'll be reading it this month so I can't wait! Fredrik Backman is also a reader on my list to be read. I love your reading wrap up, and how you have both pros and cons! So enjoyable to listen to. You had a super solid month!

Haha yay, my plan worked, don’t tell anyone it’s not real 😉😂 That’s totally fair about the spice levels, I could see that too! And I also really related to Jacob in the same ways! Awkward, socially anxious introvert here, haha I hope you love JFTS and that you can read a Backman soon!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting 😊❤️

@@LibrariesandLattes IT WORKS, your secret is safe with me 🧡😂 I finished JFTS... and it's honestly my favorite book yet?? I thought Yours Truly was going to be my absolute favorite but JFTS has the angst, and the intricate details of the characters without all the miscommunication trope? BEAUTIFUL. Your rating was spot on! Of course!! 🥰

I wanted to catch the premiere, but had other engagements tonight. Anyway, great wrapup, so many good ones 😊 The last one sounds really good. I tend not to read that much from wwii, but I could make an exception for that one. Loved hearing your take on the book club reads as well! I didn’t read Ove as very mean at all, but from the questions people asked it seems you weren’t the only one! Maybe I’m just used to Swedes haha 😂 The religion in Parable wasn’t my favorite either, but then I had a lot more to say on the cons list as well. I’m trying to get my video done this week, but there’s a lot going on at the moment so. I’m so curious about First lie wins! I had hoped for more of an edge of my seat kind of book though. Oh, and I knew you had a heart 😉🥲 I wish I hadn’t seen the movie (Swedish one) before reading either, but it was years ago so I didn’t remember much of the plot. I also feel like the book had a lot more of the flashbacks than the movie, but that might just be my memory. Would be fun to watch the movies and compare 😊 And I agree he read so much older than 59 too 😂

Thanks so much for watching, even if it wasn’t live! 😉 Totally recommend picking up the historical fiction one even if you’re not a big wwii reader, that one is just so good and will definitely make you cry. Haha you totally have an insider perspective on the Swedes and those aspects of Ove, so I’ll take your word for it 😂 I wish I had forgotten the plot after watching the movie, but for some reason it really stuck with me even though I usually forget things like that! I would definitely want to re-watch the movie to compare 😊 And hopefully you can try out First Lie Wins, even though it didn’t feel like a heart stopping thriller to me, it was still very engaging and intriguing!!

@@LibrariesandLattes It stuck with me too, which I think says a lot about it. It’s a very memorable story at the core. Yes that sounds good! It’s been so long since I read a thriller!

I like this pros/cons change up! Where is your reading journal from! Now I really want to re-read Yours Truly! Haha I’ve never read a Robert Jackson Bennett story and I was so intrigued to pick this up when it came out and I think this would be a perfect fall/winter read for me! I’m saying it right here into the universe and to your video comments - I will start MIstborn this year!!! JFTS 5/5 romance Yaaaaaas!!!!! I need to watch A Man Called Ove since I finished reading it! You had SUCH a good reading month!!!! I hope you keep that momentum going!

I'm bummed to hear that about yours truly since I just read Part of your World and was pretty happy with it. But miscommunication is my least favorite 😑 I also likes book two most of the Once Upon a Broken Heart books.

Yeah it’s too bad… But I would definitely still recommend Yours Truly, just go into it with maybe lower expectations. It’s weird because it was feeling like a 5 star in the first half and then it went downhill but I did still like it overall! And yes, book 2 of OUABH was so good! 😍
