Love your list! I'm actually afraid of reading the Midnight Library again, as I loved it so much the first time but then just hated his latest book for similar reasons!

Thank you! Oh interesting, I’ve been there though and sometimes it’s just better to leave a book you loved in the past and not try to pick it up again for that reason! I would be interested in reading more of his books but not necessarily jumping to pick any up.

I sadly only finished very little of my series but I started so many 😅

@@adarkcornerofthelibrary haha yeah I’ve never cranked out this many videos in a short amount of time, and I have another one coming out today 😂 Too bad you didn’t like What the River Knows but totally get it! And yeah I feel like only a handful of people have preferred Ruthless Vows, haha I think you should definitely try it out though just in case! For some reason I didn’t love Divine Rivals as much as I thought I would (still gave it like a 4 star though) and I wanted more of the magic and mythology so I was happy to get that in Ruthless Vows even if there was less romance. But most people probably disagree, haha. And yeah I feel you on starting so many series and not finishing a lot, it’s so easy to do that!!

Hi kitty! I don't know why but when I picked up Piranesi at the books store, the back made me so intrigued I knew I would end up enjoying it and luckily I was right but it's definitely one you have to push through in the beginning if you are not used to being completely confused but I am so glad we all had a great time with it 😊 I really don't know if myth retellings are for me so I am kind of scared to try it but everyone raves about Song of Achilles so maybe one day 😅 Definitely want to get to warbreaker at some point. Have you read Tress or Yumi yet?? LOL the trigger warnings for Butcher and Blackbird 😂 I think I need to add Thirteenth Tale to my list

Love this video idea! I unfortunately did not like CC the more I think about it. I REALLY need to read MIstborn in 2025!!!! Idk why I’m so intimidated by Piranesi and I know nothing about it and I’ve heard you just have to go into it not knowing much about it! I’m so glad I got The Song of Achilles so I can read it in 2025! I’ve heard people love it more than Circe. I was also surprised reading Butcher & Blackbird. It was so funny!!

Thank you!! Totally valid about Crescent City, I definitely liked it less after the first book, haha. Can’t wait for you to read Mistborn and Song of Achilles! And yes I definitely laughed out loud many times in B&B 😂

A big reason I haven't gone into the SJM universe is because it's huge. All of her series are HUGE, so I'm too intimidated to join 😂 100% I would need it to be audio or digital read so I don't know the length. Piranesi is a book on 25 for 2025!! So I'm pretty excited to read it hearing raving reviews from you (and Ellen). I'm so happy that B&B is on your surprised read LOL 🤩 I think it was just handled and written very well!! I've read a couple of dark romances, and most are just pushing the darkness for the aspect of "dark" in the dark romance. B&B did a good job not forcing that. LOL I love that you enjoyed Lovelight Farms so much. It's a good mood book, and I really like Lucas 🤭And I kinda relate with what you said! I heard In The Weeds will focus on the 2 characters we got glimpse of!
@LibrariesandLattesКүн бұрын
@@itsmimiduong Totally fair about SJM, it’s a lot for sure! That’s how I feel about Throne of Glass since it’s her biggest series, not sure when I’ll get to that one… The audiobooks for ACOTAR are really good so you could definitely go that route! So excited for you to read Piranesi, I hope you’ll love it! Haha yes I knew you would be happy about that, but it’s such a good example of a book I assumed certain things about and that was different from my expectations. Although I still have a hard time recommending it to non dark romance readers because they might still be shocked by some things 😳😂 And yeah Lovelight Farms was a pleasant surprise! I think because I liked it way more than another very similar Christmas romance that I had just read, that affected my enjoyment of it but it was still good on its own. Definitely curious about In The Weeds!

I always love hearing about the series everyone started and to see where everyone is at by the end of the year 🫢 I definitely am trying to finish as many series as possible before the end of the year because I'm a completionist 😂 I keep most companion novels as individual because they don't have a huge connectivity to the plot so there's less stress & I don't need to remember the plot as much! This year, I've 7 series! Though a slight cheating because of couple of mangas, and 5 that is caught up with a couple DNF'd series. This video reminded me to go back and update my tracker for the series so thank you for that!

I'm most interested in Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone 🫢 I have no idea why I though Emily Wilde's was literally an encyclopedia 😭 I have no idea what I expected in it, but I thought that was what it'll focus on in an encyclopedia-style so I haven't thought about picking it up but now the way you described it... it might be added 👀 10/10 Beartown recommendation is my go to rec for the Winter now. It's so perfect LOL.

Aww thanks so much!!! 🎉 Yes do it, I hope you can find a good mystery/thriller this winter! Haha that’s so funny about Emily Wilde, I guess that title is a bit misleading… It is structured in journal entries from Emily’s perspective and she’s definitely got kind of a dry, scholarly style overall, but it’s more interesting than an encyclopedia for sure, especially once her love interest Wendell shows up! He’s all over the map and her complete opposite 😂 And yes Beartown is so perfect in every way!!
