Apparently, you can have up to 5 Amex credit cards at any one time.
 Also, Amex allows a maximum of 2 card approvals in a 90 day time period.
 And just be aware that Amex has a ’Once in a lifetime rule’ which means that you can only earn a welcome offer for a specific product once. Hopefully this helps!

Sorry, I didn't clarify what I said in the video. It was only meant as an example. There is no set amount you have to spend each day, week or month As long as you spend $6,000 over the course of 6 months it will be fine

Can you upgrade from the Schwab investor card to the Schwab platinum card?

Im curious to the qualifying criteria for a Schwab Platinum as compared to the regular Amex Platinum. Other than just having the Schwab brokerage account.

I think it is relatively similar to the regular card, and of course it requires an excellent credit score as well.

@@dannyshep This is why I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on this. I got my Gold card in November, reached minimum spend requirements for bonus in January. When I log into my Amex account it lists the Platinum as pre-qualified. Ive literally had to rebuild my credit within the past year after major financial/work disaster and really dont want to get any negative marks on my credit. Make six figures, pay all bills on time, have never been late, but only have GOOD credit. Looks like there is a high probability of approval on the vanilla, but not so sure on the Schwab. What to do......what to do. EDIT: An hour or so after posting above, I decided to go for the Schwab Platinum and got approved. I am beyond thrilled right now.

I have flights for several months from now already purchased on my Plat. If I close that card and Open CS Plat prior to my flight what would happen to the trip and baggage coverage if I need that coverage?

It may well be void as it will be a different card, I would recommend calling Amex at 1-800-525-3355 and just ask them. Also be careful when closing a credit card as it may have implications on your credit score due to a change in your available credit and the lowering of the average age of your accounts.

Do you know if the vanilla Plat & the CS Plat are considered the same? Will you be able to get the 100k bonus if you already have the vanilla?

I think it may be included in the Amex once-per-lifetime rule, which means you can only earn a sign up bonus for a particular card once.
