Reviewing the Armstrong HA 880 High Aspect Foil for Wing Foiling and compare to the HA 925

You are 100% right; I thought the same. It just felt a tad faster and smoother... I figured the lift come from the extra profile and the speed from the reduced foil area. Lets go weekend warriors is right... 🤩

you gotta try the smaller ones! I feel the 780 is the foil that is a 1-to-1 replacement for the 925. the 680 and 580 have so much lift it blows my mind. but none of them feel like they are as fast as the v1s. and man I'd love to try the steak knife, lucky you bud. cool vid. That HA880 is a big wing! It has been my goto wing for the past months with 100kg weight plus complete winter-gear… I love that foil, now I am curious to test the 1180 for light conditions…

I prone foiled a 1125/925/725 for a while. 1125 pumps all day but sucks to turn and it’s pretty slow. 925 pumps well but it’s easy to stall. It turns well. Its top speed is great. The 725. Nearly impossible to pump. It just stalls outta nowhere. You gotta be really careful. It shreds turns and you can put so much weight into it. The speed is insane. But it doesn’t do small waves well. Now for the 880. It has ridiculous lift down low unlike any V1 HA wing. It carves better. It is slower by a bit due to the high camber. But the 880 has nearly replaced my 925 and 1125. The 880 just refuses to stall so I can pump it for a while. It doesn’t harness micro bumps like the 1125. But the stall speed makes up for the lack of glide in my opinion.
