As a day 1 player I gotta say, No Caller ID was impossible for any f2p to complete hard mode in, and even whales were having trouble.

Yeah, I barely managed to reach 1-11...normal, and I couldn't farm it because the clear didn't have any bonus nikke, so I farmed like 1-4, with Rapi being the only bonus nikke, so I didn't get shit from the shop The bonus nikkes were also an issue in that event, absolute ass and basically no f2p or light spender could reliably farm any currency. Even some whales didn't have 100%

Same. I started during the nieR collab since a friend recommended that I try the game. I was able to pull both A2 and 2B, and I still use A2 on my main team. I'm just sad that I got shafted on the Scarlet: Black Shadow banner. Seriously, 9 multis and no SSR units? And to make things worse, I ended up getting a Rapunzel dupe after that dry spell.

One good thing of starting playing the game now is that it really feels like Shift Up figured out, for the most part, how to make those events, and since I started (may 2024) events have been great. It just feels so bad to know I missed so many great characters, and now I can only hope for a rerun. I sincerely hope more characters, like Anchor, get another run on this next summer event.

First 6 months were somewhat shaky, Christmas was good, but everything was improved following Overzone half anni event. That event was amazing and really kept my interest in the game going forward. Nikkes biggest strengths, to me, is responsive devs who listen to feedback, banger ost, and experimenting with minigames and events to keep interest. My only real gripes rn is that the costume gacha is way too expensive (60$ for a costume is ridiculous), grinding for skillbooks and certain gear sucks, and it's absolutely awful to play on phone (so many bugs). I play pc so that last one isn't too bad. I also hope they give new players an option to somehow aquire or purchase those mission pass costumes that they had no chance of getting.

yeah, there was a $1 neon skin the 1st month that, would have been cool to pick up for the sh1ts and g1ggles, but it's perma locked now. and for a game all about getting us to spend money, let us. Exclusivity be dammed. Limited nikkes are already cringe concept to begin with.

Can't believe you missed the 1 year anniversary stuff, with Smol White and the insane number of stuff we got. I started playing during that and Red Ash, and it was such an immense boost for a beginner to get a free MLB SSR and a bunch of pulls (which got me 2 Red Hoods).

came for the jiggles but i stayed solely for the characters and the story. I usually play gacha games to only get characters but nikke is probably the first gacha game where i dont skip the story. It's actually so interesting and i think one of the main reason its interesting is because WE actually play a role in the story.

Of all the games I play the only 2 games that got me emotional was RDR2 when Arthur reveal he has terminal TB to the nun and this game during the OverZone event and RedAsh, I only know because of the soundtrack (Hold You Tight) I found on youtube making me check the archive, I miss the RedAsh event but that was enough to piece what happen to the Goddess squad.

TiGa also have the advantage over the bunnies in that they allow you to push campaign stages much harder. They increase your damage so much that even at pretty big CP differences, you'll do just fine. And if you use them with Maxwell or Snow White, you can often one-shot state bosses.

Overzone was a perfect event, the story before dorothy become insane, the song, event the mini game like only point and click or choice something it gave an explanatiom why snow white change. They totally nailed it

D has a particular good use in modernia raid. If you don't have enough attack power, that burst fillup from D can help you blow up that modernia core before she shreds your entire team cover. Still using D in special interception when modernia appears.

Day 2 F2P player here. my top 1 event will be no doubt, OVERZONE. I like it even more than REDASH both story and minigame. the heavy of situation felt real, the lost is real, PTSD full steam ahead,mini game White Memory feel immersive, ending is a chef kiss, after OVERZONE that when i decided to stick with NIKKE to see Dorothy's fate at the end. then next event tier will be Miracle Snow that the 1st time i knew the event in this game will have really good story because offl good writer. next is SEA YOU AGAIN, then Nya Nya Paradise.. as cat person, i dropped some big drops of tears in that one. overall pretty solid year, they truly put heart into the game and listen to players.

I also wont be spending the special event items or the 1 year bday cake, too cute. My biggest problem with the christmas event was that it heavily implied that you needed to raise all the girls heart gauges, so any time i could i made sure to get xp on each one, not focus one. Except when it came time for the big day thing it was like "oh everyone is almost happy, but that means nobody is" like...oh, ok i guess ill just not? and replaying it doesnt actually let you pick a new option (like other scenes let you see other dialogue options) so now im just left with searching youtube for what happens in the routes because i got locked out of something i had no idea was even coming up. Thanks? Extremely frustrating which is sad given that i started on the second or last day of overzone and was mostly enjoying my time playing. Completely missed what many say was a stellar event but the theme of the nier colab event was pretty true to nier's themes overall, and its pretty clear when an event is "for the fans" and when its get serious mode. Red ash was great even if im not far in the story enough to understand many of the implications, just to end the year on that sour note really hurts :\

Ngl, feels odd that there has been both so many, yet so few, events happening, and I thought I was behind in them, but with the archives being mostly up to date, I guess I don't feel super worried about whether or not to play them with my limited film rolls. I joined around the last week of the Nier events so sadly I never got to pull 2B or A2 (though I mostly wanted 2B), but I kept at it, and though I did miss certain units during their banner launches, I've found myself slowly getting each of them as time goes on (I recall missing Tia and Naga at the time of their event, and like not long after I pulled Tia, with Naga coming a bit more recently before the guaranteed pull event, meaning I just used that for Liter, since she always seemed to elude me, despite being a pretty good unit that most people seemed to have pulled). I do hope they make it possible to get reruns of limited units more easier, even if it's as a pity reward for failing the main banner (I got a Rupee after I decided to buy her as consolation in the mileage shop because I like her despite the kit, and I'm left wondering if I should have gotten Anne instead, but then I doubt I would have gotten that extra Rupee if I did buy Anne, so not sure if it was the gacha giving me a reward for investing this Christmas or if it was taunting me for buying early when the events were gonna end). As of late, I've been getting more lucky with pulling at least one copy of each banner post the limited ones.

I play as a fan-service game, causually like I play FGO currently. I start at Nier Collab, And oh boy. I almost not clearing the Hard 2-10. It's pretty chill until i reach this boss and I still remember that til this day that I beat it with 1 second left. Well, if I can give feedback everyday to dev currently are; Controling Power Creep and Balancing. As you can see, just a year this game power number is sky rocketing to billion numbers. I know, player want to see more number but it should be in control as well not just keep increasing. There are so many way to minimize numbers and still be challenging for everyone and Veteran Player, and please dont reach to like diablo that can do 100B just for 1 hit normal shot. If not, Balancing will be harder as time goes on because player "expect" higher number....more and more. For example Redhood, lot of complain at her release date about her underpower not like she was advertise.

I joined basically the moment the Helm event ended and I was able to beat Hard mode on No Caller Id, but on the last day. While I like limited units in the fact other nikkes get new weapons, skills, apperances. I would almost prefer they act like glorified premium skills, that allow you to swap skills and/or weapons, but not actually act like a whole separate nikke with it's own investment tree. It was nice to see Anis and Neon get SSR, but their atheistic is meh (ecchi be dammed, give me a normal looking SSR edition, swim suits as a costume). If they have to be separate units because of game code and yada yada then I think Limited units should be more F2P friendly, where they max out, no stronger than the non limited main unit, but start as good as a semi invested normal nikke. Like Tier 4 skills area, then the scaling is just poor to 10 so they end up the same level of effective. We should not see META limited, Anis should arguably be nerfed to prevent her from being semi meta. There is such a limited window for recruitment that failing to pull a nikke at all can be a massive crutch. The ONLY nikke I am missing is makima, and thankfully she isnt meta, but imagine not getting to pull Red Hood/Dorthey, and her only ever being

For 2024 they need more permanent content and less limited time or rotating content. Specifically more permanent Nikkes obtained through advanced gameplay and not purchased with special currencies. This is one thing I feel older gachas do better even if they are more brutal in the summon department. Maybe there could be story content to upgrade really old SR and even R Nikkes to a SSR 'ultimate form' like the Mod 3 forms in Girls Frontline.

The worst part for me was the Christmas re-run units. I already had them from 2022, but I pulled worthless duplicates of Rupee and Anne before I got the new 2023 girls. That was super annoying and a waste of gems. Other than that, I can't say I care for the earlier timeline stuff. I still haven't bothered to read Overzone or Red Ash properly because I'm just not interested in a different commander's story. Thankfully the Campaign doesn't really require you to know the early timeline events.

Played Nikke at the 2nd day from its release, I thought it's a TPS that you can move. Left the game after Marian died 'coz I thought when a Nikke dies, she won't be playable unless you have a spare body. Tried to play again during the CSM banner then quit again. Played again during the Summer Mary & Neon banner, got Mary in a single pull, played campaign and realized that the game is awesome 😁

Shift End strikes me as a company that cares about fans considering even when ending DC, they made something for players to check out their waifus afterwards. Though with a game like this waifu may be over meta, so some may get mileage among players there. That being said, Anis is queen among "large caliber" girls (Soda may be bigger but Anis gets that push)
