This was the video I needed. You covered all my concerns. I have a rather expensive vinyl model that needs something solid in its feet to help support it, but I don't want anything with an exothermic reaction that could melt the vinyl, and I need it to be strong enough to hold the support rods that will come out of the bottom of the feet. I have watched alot of videos on this type of product and you're the only one that addressed my concerns. Thank you 😊

Good review.... I've tried many brands from Temu... And they've all been fine and pretty inexpensive

If you sand the coaster you will be able to see your chips .

Thank you so much for this review. I ordered the Yobtop and should have it Friday. The math people really need to learn is the amount by weight of "crete type" powder & water you need vs. the amount of resin or of water needed to fill a mold. It's not one to one, if you could address that in a video, that would be great.Example, if your mold holds 100g water, you need 191g of powder/water mixture (Powder147g + Water 44g) to fill it. You use this stuff up way faster than 2-part resin.

@@Soifdesang9 Absolutely true. I did mention this in passing in one of my more recent videos (I forget which one), but I didn't really go into detail. It does lose quite a bit of volume during mixing and that needs to be taken into consideration when figuring out how much you really need. I do wish they would include that info on the packaging for these things so people wouldn't have to find out the hard way.

Mix2Mold is a new eco pour sold by Michael's. It is on sale for $15 for 5 pounds!!! It's pure white. Pretty much the same as resincrete.

They are now being discontinued. I purchased it all!

I have used several eco resin powders, and the this one is by far my favorite when shopping on amazon.

Thank you. I've seen this product but never tried it. I usually use Magic Powder by Let's Resin which is a good product but next time I order I'll give Yobtop a try. Especially because I like I like my casting powder to be white. I hate it when they're brown or grey because it's harder to color them. Great job. 👍

Seen your video and gave yobtop a try. I found yobtop easier to use and a smoother finish than resincrete. Thanks for the video on yobtop.

It's at its weakest just after de-moulding, it's best to let it cure for a few days and it will strengthen up :)

You suppose to water sand the coaster in order to get the terazzo effect. You will see its beauty when you'll sand your project. Also, the smoothness of the coaster depends mainly on the mold, and how shiny it is...
@jkakstudios7 ай бұрын
Yeah I actually found that out after sanding the bottom and realized it looked a million times better! And true, the mold makes a difference, but I've used that same mold with resincrete several times and this stuff seemed a little smoother. I also had been using the 30 min demold resincrete prior to trying this stuff, which is 20 min demold, and maybe that had an effect. Or I could have got my ratios off without noticing and that had an effect. Not sure.

Can you use eco resin to make candle jars? Or would cement all be better?
@jkakstudios5 ай бұрын
@@juanitasweatt6081 Eco resin is ideal for candle jars. It's quite heat resistant. I've never used cement all, but all the eco resins I've tried are perfect for things like candle jars, flower pots etc.

I just checked and it looks like they're out of the one I got, which is the 1000 gram. The $42 one is 3000 grams. I think the original resincrete (30 min demold) is going for around $15 on Amazon now though. They all change price and availability so often it's hard to keep track.

Easy to break not recommended for figurine
@jkakstudios6 ай бұрын
Yeah anything less than half a centimeter/quarter of an inch thick, not a good idea to use an eco resin. It's great for coasters, candle jars and such but not small, delicate projects.
