Hey thanks for your videos and In have an question. So I want to learn mexican Spanish but I'm Hearing different pronunciations from different speaker when it comes to g/j and ll/y. Some mexicans pronounce the g/j Like Spaniards with a hard guttural Sound and some say it with the voiceless "h" Sound. For ll/y I Heard some mexicans saying it like a German "j" Sound in a Word Like "ja" and some mexicans use this Sound that ist closer to dj Like english "djungle". Is this just different mexican dialects and What is the Standard pronunciation?

I wouldn’t say there’s a standard pronunciation, people just talk differently like in any other language. They’re not called “dialects”, they’re called “accents” and Mexico is such a big country that the way we speak can be very different indeed but we all understand each other, we understand people from other Latin American countries and Spain as well. Go with whatever pronunciation works better for you, non of them is incorrect, they’re just “different”. P.S. The accent of Mexico City citizens is one of the most liked among Spanish learners, so maybe you can choose that one, is one of the easiest to understand I would say and if you want to pay attention to that particular one, then just listen to the way I speak (Juan) because I’m from Mexico City 🙂.
