04:20 these are legally 6 passenger cars, as such they are required to have a 2 point seat belt for the front center passenger along with the huge crash air bag (far bigger than normal cars)... if you get in your backseat you'll find the seatbelt anchored to the floorboard to the left rear of the passenger seat and the rest of the seatbelt will be under the driver's seat...the factory didn't push these seatbelt up into place between the seats as they know 99.9% will never be used...this way these cars could legally haul 5 passengers and the driver for livery...now the front seat middle person should be the smallest person for sure...

Pretty cool features. Unfortunately the lowest trim model won't have a few of these features. I had a 2004 Signature (which was the base model in 2004) and it didn't have memory or heated seats or the power close trunklid. Mine also didn't have the woodgrain steering wheel or the stereo with the subwoofer. In fact the only option on my car was whitewall tires and the car stickered brand new for 41K. The outside key pad is actually a cool thing to use. You would type in the code then (if memory serves) push the 1-2 button and it would unlock all of the doors, and if you pushed 3-4 button I believe it would open the trunklid. If you press the last two buttons (the 7-8 and 9-0) it locks all of your doors and sets the alarm. Another feature that is cool is if you turn on your wipers after a few seconds it turns on your headlights automatically.
@clembegamingАй бұрын
My 2003 Signature has memory and heated seats. Just doesn't have the trunk features of the 05+ which is when they added those. Mine has the Alpine system with a factory 8" subwoofer with a woodgrain steering wheel. Those more than likely would've been dealership options. Not just trim limitations from the factory.

As Lincoln fans say, the older the Lincoln, the softer it is when driving. But when many car enthusiasts are asked, “if you have to drive only one car for the rest of your life, then which car will you choose?”... Many people answer that this is a Town Car 2003-2011.

The Lincoln Town Car became the standard of perfection within its category. Share your pride because I was either lucky enough to find the very last one from a Lincoln dealer. Located about two hours from home. In fact, history confirmed the Town Car became what a luxury car was really supposed to be. This Great Vessel on Wheels became a Royal Coach made on Ford's panther platform. Every other model car constructed on such platform were as popular as this Luxury Sedan. May God allow you to enjoy your jewel for many years to come, so your children and grandchildren. Remember to make them aware that your car may need an appointment after reaching it's 500 thousand miles. Just to be sure everything is ok. 😂

Why did they remove those features for 2004+ models?
@freddyhollingsworth594511 ай бұрын
@@GetThisNick 2003 was the "new body", it was a big deal for Lincoln...first model year cars typically have more features, better colors, and such to impress the automotive journalist and help launch the cars...then the cuts come to save money... 2003s were a two year car, hitting the showrooms in feb 2002...even things cut from early 03s to regular 03's like the front seat under knee map pockets, fuel rail pressure test port(this was EPA not Ford), and early 03s had metal timing tensioners vs plastic like regular 03s-11.. Lots of early 03s had the SOS "onstart", Lincoln put this in lots of built to order cars to help get the average transaction price up...also early 03s had a more aggressive alarm with cabin motion sensors...the list can go a mile...I'm not even mentioning the 03 options trim options like the Signature Limited with perforated leather seats and unique wheel paint... also remember for 03 all the Signature trims got a "free" upgrade to the wooden steering wheel and heated seats...starting in 04 no more mid trim, it was base trim or top trim...03 and older you could get a mid trim (Signature) was the mid retail trim..
