Purchased mine new 35-40 years ago, still have it. I have maybe 200 rounds through it. never a misfire or jam. will hold on to this one forever.

Only 200 rounds? Not really enough time to judge it honestly. A lot of 1911 have around a 600 round break in period. Not saying Llama is bad though, my brother plans to get one soon and honestly I will probably shoot it more than him lol

I have one. Mine was made in 94. Great gun, easy to field strip and clean. You can look up the numbers and get the year mfg.

@@efrainbeltran4678 I can’t speak on the Colt magazine’s but my Springfield Armory 1911 .45ACP Mil Spec magazine fits my 1911 Llama like a glove and the Llama magazine into the Springfield. Hope that helps someone. And side note……I prefer the Lama over the Springfield and believe it to be an overall more consistent shooter and carry gun. But that’s just my opinion based on the two sidearm’s I have.

Does anyone know where to get barrels for these guns? Have one that the link under the barrel is extremely loose, it's hard to get the pin through it when reassembling the firearm. Will any milspec barrel work or is custom work involved?

It actually says it on the slide. I have one 1969,. I bought it from an estate sale in Michigan, when living there. It’s a nail driver. The inside shows a lot of tool marks, but outside has very good workmanship.

I bought one of these new many years ago, it looked good but would rarely make it all the way through a complete magazine without a FTF or FTE. Tried new magazines from several high quality mfg's with no success...stripped the gun countless times and never could point to anything out of the normal...lost interest in the gun and didn't care why.

My buddy just got one a few days ago M#..480###. Took a little looking up, but looks to be 1968-69. The rail with 3 vents was produced from 1955-69. Very nice gun, good shoot patterns, I enjoy it just as much as the Old Colt.45 G.I. dad used to have.
