Have you tested it? would like to know if the open window detection works ?

Anyone actually used these as yet and have some feedback? From previous experience, the motor in these sorts of devices, seem very quiet when you install, but is actually relatively loud at 5am in the morning when trying to sleep.. :)

I've tested this produkt in several homes and i'm not impressed with the building quality. Several of these devices have failed both mechanical and electronical. Futhermore there is no indication of the direktion you have to turn the thermostat to increase og decrease the setpoint. In terms of connectivity its a very fine produkt with long range.

I like it, looks neat but very expensive. Costs 180€. I have 5 radiators in ny house so for me this is not an option to automate the temperature control. 5 x 180€ is way too much. I would rather use a MKR 1310 with a relay on central thermostat. I like the whole LoRa ecosystem but these "works out of the box" devices have unrealistic prices. If my client orders e.g. a complete system based on Vicki, my job is not finished with installing the system. I need to set and create a server combining with webhooks, testing, building and so on. A lot of work which cost a lot for them.

Hi Tom, the LoRaWAN Vicki costs €89, but indeed that can add up quickly if you have a lot of thermostats. The device will last years and years, though, so perhaps it will pay for itself in time saved and convenience over the long run. mclimate.eu/products/vicki-lorawan

Hi Tom! Indeed Vicki costs €89 right now, I am not sure where you found the €180 cost. Regarding "working out of the box" - although LoRaWAN is slightly more complicated to configure compared to Wi-Fi, the easiest process would be: - Add the devices to TTN - Configure a webhook to our server - Open our app, register an account and add the Vicki there If you write a comment in your order, we could also do the first two steps for you, so you can easily just add it to the MClimate Home app by scanning it and enjoy : )
