The fact Shugoki got his charged heavies nerfed so he doesn't deal any more than 28 damage, or 30 with short tempered, while Hito gets to keep her 34 damage heavies is dog water.

I swear, fighting Hito is annoying with just one of them, but when I see a duo of Hitokiris roaming the map like a pair of vultures attacking whatever poor sap from my team or the others comes around, I feel unfettered sadness thinking about how some people decide to play this game.

I played hitokiri during her hero fest and she was completely brain dead her variable timed heavies plus variable timed bashes made it a nightmare for enemies to read me and I would always end the match as the mvp even though I don’t have a single rep in her

That was my first time too. Went into a breach match and came out with 60ish kills... Played her during a hero fest too against high reps. She's so braindead it hurts.

I always complained that Hito's heavies are just a few milliseconds late enough to throw my parries off, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way. The only way to defeat a Hitokiri is to hope they are stupid enough to not block or dodge, if they know how to defend you are fucked his kit is straight up busted

I think there are some things that could help in her current state, lowering base chain heavy damage and or increasing stamina consumption would not remove her functionality but it would make her less efficient, ensuring you have breaks and at least slightly less punishment on missed reads. I think it would be fine to see either pop up in a patch note just as a hold over fix.

I have all the problems playing against Hito, but when I'm playing her my main problem is repetition, it's so monotonous to just hold a single button, feint every now and then, press any other button and make it work like damn, where is entertainment?

I just bought hitokiri after joining a 4v4 domination and my entire team was hitokiris.. I felt like such an outsider playing as kyoshin, (I’m a kyoshin main)

I dont think shes bad at all. Casual Hitos are extreemly easy to beat bc they are very predictable and the not braindead Hitos are like any other hero only a little easier imo because shes kinda basic. Ofc Im taking about in ones. If your getting ganked by Hito than she is one of the more intimidating heros, especailly sense if you make a mistake when getting ganked by Hito when she has her 4th feat, even revenge cant save you.

I like Hito because I like the simpler heroes, same way I like Warden. I personally never have problems with Hito until it’s time for me to get ganked, and then I have problems with all the heroes so yeah. As braindead as she might be, I like it.

Unfortunately it's true, Hitokiri is braindead. I bought it as it was last month its hero fest, I only had enough strength to pocket level 4 reputation. It's such a stupefying and boring game, it's a shock. You click the right mouse button over and over again, or hold it down longer, and that's it. Occasionally you'll do a kickstarter, as long as the gnarled mush your brain turns into remembers it. I didn't make it to level 8 reputation since then I don't play it. Supposedly people also say about Ocelotl that it's a braindead, but definitely when playing Ocelotl you use a wider range of attacks than just RMB->RMB->RMB->RMB....

There are definitely tweaks that can be made to make fighting her less of a headache. Honestly, I fully agree that lvl 1 and 2 bashes should only confirm a light, with the full sweep being the one that confirms the heavy. Lights after bashes still lead into Endless Myriad, so it works fine imo. Also return the hyperarmor to 300ms because oh my god who thought that change was a good idea As for the full charged heavy damage, maybe lowering it to 30 would be fine, even though I'm usually against lowering the damage of huge, slow swings on other characters, but her ganking capabilities are just way too strong as-is, and I imagine that with the hitstun changes coming EVENTUALLY, it would even out and ultimately be much more forgiving to fight her

If y’all think she’s bad now you shouldn’t seen her on release, she had the above mentioned with a stamina tank that you could run a 50/50 for days. I miss those days show the kick if they dodge cancel to GB If the stand there or try to attack just let the kick fly. Rinse and repeat

As a Hito with 13 Reps, i agree. I mean, if you need any more reason to think that Hitokiri is braindead, your method of anti ganking is literally: With different timing and different Guard directions, switch targets every time you throw a Heavy. That's it. By the way, would it break Hitokiri's balancing if Meikai Rift (Light FInisher) gets Undodgeable property? Just trying to think of ways that Meikai Rift can be changed so that it's not a simple stamina waster and that it can be more of a considerable option to use.

Hot take, Raider after rework was far worse. Sunbenzakura should never have been nerfed due to it being single target, and feats like spear storm can easily team wipe in comparison. That feat being nerfed, is a key example of devs falling under pressure instead of pushing good changes. To further evidence this, last laugh still exists, and oath breaker, a feat that literally destroys the entire revenge mechanic still exists.

man i remenber the time i first got into FH with my friends, i literally had zero idea on how to play with any character, then my friend just said ''just play hitokiri, you'll see how brainded he is'' i got 9 kills on my first match literally just spamming heavies....... i did not need to think, i didnt need to dodge or block or parry, literally just spammed heavies....

I know nobody asked but I like sharing thoughts and I think that Hito's bashes should reset her back to neutral, inifnite heay should be reduced to 3 heavies, with only the 2nd and 3rd heavy being charge'able, with 2nd one gaining ONLY HA and 3rd one ONLY unblockable and all of them having overall decreased tracking. Then increase GB vulnerability on dodge attacks and remove 4th feat because it's dumb by design

Unpopular opinion: Hitokiri is what a heavy should be and although she can be abusive/toxic I like her loop and design. Her chains have to be respected and it forces opponents to play her game. When there's Orochis, Shinobis, Berserkers, Afreeas, etc all running around with little end lag and safe, mosquito-like, fast damage her loop is fair and balanced. It's more of a roster balance problem than a Hito specific problem. She invalidates the low half of the roster with her loop, empty dodge punish on bad dodge frame heroes, and flat damage numbers. Why play Shugoki in pub matches when you can have infinite chains, variable timed bashes with big damage, good frame data, and better feats? She's an updated hero who's flat out better than legacy heroes. Shugoki might have the hug but that becomes a niche pick when Hito is around. Ubisoft should have stopped adding new heroes a long time ago and put the new designs into existing heroes so half the cast isn't downgrades. It should have been post Marching Fire when they stopped added heroes and steamrolled the 100k+ players that came back for major changes to the existing roster: Conq with BP Shugoki with Hitokiri Cent with Jorm (mash the two together) Kensei with Zhanhu Shinobi with Ocelotl (just look at the feats even) PK with Pirate Valkrie with Afreea Aramusha with Kyoshin Warlord with VG Medjay is a weird one so I'll give it to him. He can be the last and final hero of the game. A farewell gift to the roster. Rework his design to be a Wu Lin to bump up that faction count. I know it isn't viable from a business standpoint, Ubisoft wants to sell new heroes instead of giving old heroes free updates. It's an idealistic idea that For Honor had a decent cast already and going for quality over quantity would leave the game in a better state today.

I just want to say. I think all of us F.H. players like that they have added content and new characters. But why do they always have to b overpowered. Besides the obvious. ( To sell them). The game would be so much better if they cared about balance over pushing out character after character. My one friend took a break awhile ago for a couple months was all excited they fixed the network issues comes back n quit. Because he was getting stomped by all these new characters. That btw get literally everything. Everytime. All the while they keep changing the old heroes. Nerf buff Nerf buff. Like no characters should be o.p. n I'm tired of always having a new o.p. guy to fight. N yes the worst has been the hitokiri n that other bald bladed knight guy. But there's just too many people the games got to complicated. All the heroes except the originals have everything instead of being specialist. N I just wanna get on and fight. But I can't keep up with all this. N it's truly infuriating that every other dominion game I'm playing against 3 hitokiris n a monk or zhin zang. Or whoever. Can they just start working on for honor two at this point?? Like we have more than enough characters. Like way too many. N I hate the assholes that only use the braindead ones. This game is so special. N i.m.o. it's been totally ruined. By way too many characters like hitokiri. That I never learned how to even fight!!! I hate that I can't even enjoy this game I loved anymore. It's done there's too many o.p. characters n Everytime they nerf a fukn character it's one of the old ones they buffed to be able to compete. I hate Ubisoft. I'm done w this fukn game

Rework idea: Only top heavy can be unblockable (top heavy is animated better). Bashes confirm only lights only sweep is a heavy. Slow her dodge attacks.

I have 14 reps with hitokiri, for me, they could remove the hyper armor in the uncharged heavies, make something so their lights are a bit more useful, and make the forth ability faintable if the nerfs aren't reversed. It would need a new animation. I was imagining like a twirling of the axe motion, being able to feint there, and just about to hit as hitokiri land from it's flip, to keep the opponent full of fear.
