I upgraded my hamster from a 10 gallon tank with cage topper ontop, into the 200 L bin there. I will say she doesn’t come out anymore. She has escaped a few times on us. I wasn’t using the lid yet since I hasn’t found a way to make air-holes on it, but she was able to climb since I gave her as much bedding as possible. I ended up having to keep pressing her bedding lower, but she still managed to escape by climbing her wheel. Finally my mom helped add air holes, but now I’m trying to find ways to interact with her coming out more often like she used to her in her old home. I feel like she may be bored or stressed out as she hissed at me the other day I was trying to fix her home, which she had only ever did that when we first got her.

I have the 200 quart bin that you showed and it honestly one of my best hamsters purchases! I would so recommend buying it if someone is looking for a good bin cage that’s large enough, sturdy and relatively cheap. (mine costed 20 dollar which is great compared to other hamster cages on the market that meet the size requirements) Though it is a little tough to put the wire mesh on the lid because it’s not a flat lid. Besides that I would 10/10 recommend it

Olivia Rabanus I would definitely suggest getting some Whimbzees chews for you hamster as well (they are a type of dog chew that hamsters absolutely love). Hay is okay for hamsters in certain cases. While most won’t eat it and i would not recommended to buy it straight up for a hamster. If you have it already because you have piggies, it’s perfectly fine to pick through and find the softer pieces of hay for a hammy. 99% of the time they use it just as additional bedding. So don’t just feed your hamster only hay.
