IMPORTANT: It should be noted that Nostalgia and personal preferences throw all of these arguments out the window. I personally think that bias in rankings should not be ridden of and instead embraced. This video is just solely focusing on the objective view of these takes. Thanks for watching.

My other hot take is that while 8DX has its advantages, MKWii is better in a lot of points. Consistency in the tracks, better battle courses, more complexity in the controls, higher global difficulty, and the physics are just more enjoyable and make tracks like DK Mountain, Rainbow Road, DK Summit, Maple Treeway, or Koopa Cape feel more thrilling. What 8DX does better than Wii is more about the sheer amount of content, the wackiness of some tracks, and the battle modes.

7 and DS are pretty great, they each have what the other lacks DS may have very mid retros while 7 has mid battle stages DS has Waluigi, 7 has Wiggler, in general both do what the other should Mission Mode from DS is just okay imo, not something i keep wanting to come back too and 7's more smoother controls are great and its character roster is very unique and super nice still, both games are great in their own ways

There's just something about the vibes and the community around mario kart Wii. This may be controversial, but I've always found Mario Kart 8 to feel soulless and that it took a lot of the things out of Wii that made it so great. For me, it's not about the amount of content in a Mario Kart game, but more about how it feels to play, the mechanics, the strategy and the balance. To me, Wii executes its core better than 8 deluxe, and no amount of booster course passes will change my view.

MKWII is the type of game i enjoy and think it's a good game but it's the fandom that makes me like it less.

Some of my new hot takes: Tour city tracks are great in 8DX. Saying MKWii > 8DX is not just nostalgia-talking. DS Rainbow Road > 3DS Rainbow Road. SNES Rainbow Road was kinda done dirty in MK7 & MK8. MKWii’s retro selection from its base game is the best one. Kalimari Desert is boring and forgettable. DK Summit > Mount Wario. Dolphin Shoals is just good, but not worthy of an A-tier or S-tier slot. Sky-High Sundae is great. DK’s Jungle Parkway is underrated. Banshee Boardwalk is underrated. Neither Wii Bowser’s Castle nor GCN Bowser’s Castle is the best one. A Cairo track would be kinda mid. Shroom Ridge’s original music is better than the one from the BCP. The biggest problem in the Sunset Wilds BCP remake is not the lack of sunset, but the layout being butchered almost as badly as in Cloudtop Cruise Jr. MK8DX being a port and preventing a MK9 game to come out on the Switch, thus making us wait more than 10 years for a true MK9 game, really drags this game down, even though the BCP gave us some new stuff after 6 years of playing the same tracks. Shy Guy Bazaar is the best MK7 nitro. Wii Rainbow Road is not "overrated". MKDS is not "overrated". In fact, nowadays I’d argue it’s underrated. Delfino Square > Waluigi Pinball. Dino Dino Jungle > DK Mountain. MKDS’s Lightning Cup is one of the best ones. Coconut Mall was already ruined in MK7, and I’d argue that its BCP version is better, even though nothing will beat the OG MKWii version of this track. MK8’s Lightning Cup is overrated.

For me, I still do like Mario kart, but my favourite out of all of them is still Mario kart double dash because I consider that game to be one of the best games for me ever since I played it on the good old days and + I also consider that game to Be Underrated as well.

Here’s my hot takes The City Tracks are some of the best and the most fun tracks in 8 deluxe. Tour is mainline. Coconut malls music wasn't that good Aside from remakes all of the DK tracks are Mid. Wild woods and super bell subway are both mid. Asides from Super Mario Kart, 8 has the worst nitro tracks the only ones I come back to is Big Blue and Mount Wario. We didn’t need the arcade tracks in the Bcp. Most of them are just really long stretches of straight lines with nothing happening. Funky Kong is overrated. You guys only like him because he’s overpowered in Wii. If he wasn’t in Wii and was introduced in a different game or wasn’t Broken you guys wouldn’t bat an eye at him. Mushroom Bridge is the most Overrated Track in the whole series. It’s just SNES Mario Circuit 1 With cars. And even then they are not that challenging to dodge. Only 1 shortcut actually saves time and it’s the most simple one. The track is just mostly just a long straight line. In fact DS proves my point that if you remove the bridge shortcut the tracks is Very Boring. And yes it has unique cars so does mushroom city.

And I’m not sure that if this is an hot take, but it actually my throughs/opinion and please note that I still liked other Mario kart games but Mario kart double dash is my favourite out of all of the Mario kart games/them.

Is it me, or if Waluigi Pinball was in MKWII, it would not receive the amount of hate due to being in the game Think of it. When was the last time a course in Mario Kart Wii got so much hate without the fandom defending it?

Mario Kart 7 is my favourite since it was the first Mario Kart game I played in 2015 and its my childhood. I've also played Mario Kart DS, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and I had fun with them. I never played Mario Kart Wii sadly, but I wish I did. I don't like Mario Kart Tour anymore because I easily got bored in the game.

My hot takes: 3DS Rainbow Road is overrated. The OG Yoshi Circuit is kinda mid. MK7 is overrated, not underrated. N64 Sherbet Land is great. Wuhu Loop > Maka Wuhu Rosalina’s Ice World is the best track in the 3DS Special Cup. Mushroom Bridge is kinda mid. The oldest Mario Kart games aren’t that janky.
