Didn't know it was a remake. But damn, very crisp images she gets out of her A1 😲 (I'm puzzled - which lens are you using @Jennifer?) I liked the video a lot Jennifer Lu ! One thing I agree on : the music. Music is a personal taste (some enjoy Metallica on calm images), but I agree with Seb & Matthias.

This is a remake of the previous video she sent, and I really quite like it! It seems like she took onboard a lot of the comments, and decided to improve her film. The opening shot is damn amazing, as well as some of the close-ups. The color is also quite pleasing. The camera angle is mostly very low, which is the professional way to shoot. It almost looks like Jennifer trained with Guy Chaumette at Liquid Motion. She has a story, and she does have an intro. I definitely do not agree Sebastian on his comment about the opening. The story opens with a phenomenal introduction to the main character - the stingray. It made me want to follow her and see what was going to happen. Jennifer did all the right things here - getting all the b-roll, staying around the subject for the whole dive (it seems), Not everything has to start with a drone shot or a title!... The only thing that I will say is that there is absolutely no way I would compromise the quality of my film by over cranking the slow-mo. Jennifer has done it in the past, and we all agreed that the film would be better off without the slow-motion. The clear example here is the shot at 3:47 ... you are coming from two incredibly professional shots, and then land on a third shot that has no motivation, and looks amateurish. The shot at 4:09 is another example. Another thought, is that I am under the impression that Jennifer is still using auto-focus and back-button focus. The sooner she stops using auto-focus the better off she will be. That said, I think Jennifer has come a very long way, and her films are starting to look quite professional.
