How do you deal with out-of-control points once they have been detected? Should they be included or excluded in the process proportion estimate? In this session we will explore how to construct revised control chart for fraction defectives (p-chart).

How did you get the d value

'd' is the number of discarded samples. So, the number of points exceeding the control limits i.e UCL or LCL. Such points form the d value. For example, if there are 3 points crossing UCL and 2 points crossing LCL then d=5. And if there is 1 point crossing UCL and zero point crossing the LCL then d=1. Hope it helps. @@yangamteto335 yes if the process is out of control again we can prepare a revised chart for a revised chart till the number of discarded samples are removed.
