Thanks Dr for all your lessons. However I am still confused about all your explanations in all lessons. Because you're always saying about the research in social science while there are other science studies such as Natural and formal sciences. Please may you help me to connect or apply the knowledge you taught in social science to other research sciences I mentioned above, starting from research philosophy to research methods. I hope you understood my concern. I really appreciate your teaching methodology. Thanks in advance

Hello. My orientation is social science. My advice would be, if you are a natural scientists which is more experimental and naturalistic, use what is applicable in my notes

I have come across literature describing background, categorical variables. How different are these
@research-methods-class2 жыл бұрын
Hello Sam. Background on what? What we have is background to the problem which a historical background on your variables in chapter one. This shows the relationship between variables. Categorical are variables are variables that exists in categories. They are either nominal (for identification) or ordinal (ordered)

Good morning 🙋 question please can a study have 2 dependent variables?
@research-methods-class2 жыл бұрын
Hello Catherine. Thank you for your question. A study cannot have two dependent variables. A study have various Independent variables that you manipulate to see the change they bring on the outcome variable which is the dependent variable. i like this class of research but one problem there is no notes of the class.
@research-methods-class2 жыл бұрын
Hello Richard. Those slides are notes. You only need to pick the main points as the lesson rolls. Secondly, at your convenience, you may want to get the research methods text book either as a hard copy or ebook. You can have a look at it on www.researchmethodsclass.com/ebook/
