1. Revision sessions 2. Look at the specification to know what you NEED to revise 3. Look at the layout of the exam 4. Know the sub topics and which questions. 5. Mind maps and flashcards and diagrams and tables and flowcharts. 6. Glossary-key words and names. 7. Revision guides- CGP GUIDES AND WORKBOOK AND MY REVISION NOTES. 8. Prepare for geography paper three and learn the pre-release materials. 9. Apps and Websites- pixel app if the school purchased it, gcsepod, use KZbin and study rocket. 10. Exam questions- e.g 20 markers and 9 markers 11. When the exam starts: skim through, if a question jumps out not down notes and go back to the front. 12. Priotise questions if you run out time. 13.play to your strengths.

I threw away my mindmaps and gave my flash cards away to a current year 11 so all I have is the little cutaways of them that I included in the video, sorry!! They were super basic honestly nothing particularly special about them. Thank you though and good luck 👍x

I am currently in Year 9 and deciding between Geography or History. I enjoy them both equally so I don’t know which to choose! Since you’ve done both, which one would you advise me to pick? Thanks so much! ♥️😁

Honestly I really enjoyed both, and loved them both at a level too. Have a look into what content your school covers as they differ slightly depending on what your teachers have picked. If you think one looks better than the other, say you'd enjoy learning about Weimar Germany more than rivers and coasts, then go for history. Also the exam is different so there are multiple choice questions in geography and some 2 markers whereas history it is mostly long essays, think which you'd prefer. Honestly I found the long essays easier than the short, specific detailed questions! xx

How did you do both? We can only choose one... Does it depend on grades?

I’m not sure, the teacher who did the gcse options advised against picking both. But I spoke to both my history and geography teachers in year 9 and they said they think I’d be fine taking both so that’s what I did and no one questioned it! A few people in my year took both, it was unusual yes but not impossible. Not too sure how it works in other schools. Good luck if you have to pick between them! I couldn’t even make that decision at A Level and may end up picking both at uni ahaha :) x

I'm in year 10 and I only picked Geography, wish I picked History. Do you know if I could pick History in college? Even though I haven't picked it as a GCSE? Because when I was in year 7 and 8 I used to get so many good grades in History! 📚

probably you could take history if you do well in your other essay subjects at gcse which would prove your ability although every college does it differently so it is worth asking the head of history or something! If you got good marks you’d probably enjoy a level history so deffo look into it but also you’ve got plenty of time to change your mind. Enjoy gcse geography 😂

Yes definitely!! I did that once I had made my mindmaps, definitely makes the info easier to remember if you’re forced to look at them everyday ☺️👍
