Pretty much same experience here. Had MoFi that broke quickly > they sent me a new pair, which broke again > they upgraded me to the Sadie headphones, which i've kept for 3-4 years now ? So these last one have been pretty nice, but i can confirm the reliability issues. My main issue right now is the lack of support outside of the US,. I've since moved to Europe, and cant get any thing shipped here. I couldn't get an aux cable after i broke mine and had to get a thrird party one. As you said, great sound, i love it. But when these will inevitably break i won't buy back Blue headphones. it also seems as they've pretty much dropped this foray into headphones, if their website is any indication.

Ya, it's sad that the product has so many issues. I used to be a fan of Blue....

Thank you for this follow up video! I'm able to get the ella for $130 (No warranty), HD600 for $216 (2-Year warranty), ATH R70X (3-Year warranty) for $240. Which one would you recommend? I am currently on a Razer Barracuda X. My primary use is gaming (positional audio is key) and watching movies (bluray only).

The Ella's sound great, but they will not last. Stay away. I am personally not a fan of open back headphones, but I do like AT. For gaming, I use a gaming headset that has a bit more of a hyped low end. Hope this helps!

@@mattingramsound Thank you for the response! I eventually settled on the PC38X. I was able to get them for $116 incl tax.

Great. I wish more people do revisited review like this. It's all about affiliate/endorsement these days

Ya, it's hard to really have a handle on a product until you've had it for awhile. These initially seemed pretty good, but now, not so much. Thanks for the comment!
