This is where it started for me. I only played the Dreamcast version of this once and knew absolutely nothing about it until I played DOA3 and the DOA2U. Sadly 13:35 was the coolest thing Tengu did until I found out how lame he was when I played him.

Dead or Alive 2 in all its iterations was my shit. I first played it on Dreamcast then I got hardcore on ps2 and ultimate on Xbox. I have poured so many hours into it. I think on Xbox the in game clock said 800 hours play time. Can’t even imagine how much of that is not accounted for from the other titles. I wish there was a way we could still play these titles online.

i'm not 100% sure, but i recall DOA2's western version for PS2 technically being the equivalent of the Japanese DOA2 hardcore. the absolute latest version of the game (except for DOAU on the xbox) should be DOA2 hard*core, still Japan exclusive
