@@Alexandra-ng1ihwhile I’m sure there are bad doctors that will misdiagnose people, that’s really not common. The rise in adhd diagnosis, especially for women, is due to the increased understanding of ADHD and how it presents. ADHD was considered a “boy” condition for a very long time and women often flew under the radar because they presented differently. Women are often conditioned to mask their symptoms in comparison to men. I didn’t get diagnosed with ADHD until grade 11, and it honestly changed my life for the better. Also, people searching for a diagnosis to try and figure out what’s wrong with them isn’t a bad thing. Trying to get diagnosed for “attention” or to be different (which also doesn’t happen as often as you might think) is wrong, but how else are you supposed to figure out what’s wrong with you if you don’t go to the doctor and tell them your concerns?

As someone hearing about the incident for the very first time and who doesn't mess with Gabby, it's insane to think that everyone turned on her in a situation where Ricegum was clearly at fault. I mean he literally TELLS everyone he did it when he brags. That right there tells you the kind of numbed down thinking people had at the time. You can dislike someone all you want, but they don't deserve to be assaulted, then harrassed online and in literal grocery stores because people want to victim blame. That is the exact reason people stay in the shadows and don't go to the police, when they should, and it's absolutely awful. He obviously had some issues he felt self conscious about if he's getting pissed off about a joke at a KZbinr party. Now I personally don't feel Gabby was 100 percent in the right too, but nothing she did deserved to be met with assault and then later on jokes about her appearance and stuff. (Just my personal opinion on the matter.)

Please get evaluated and PLEASE get treatment. Managing ADHD on your own ain’t gonna work because the part of your brain that is responsible for managing stuff is not operating optimally. That’s what ADHD is. And if your support system is trash managing will be even harder. Just prioritize your mental wellness and don’t listen to people with nothing but opinions and no credentials. This is the stigma of living with ADHD (which I do). You LITERALLY tell people you over talk, overthink, have different mannerisms & people without it just get annoyed at you anyway. You say you think you have it, want to get it treated & people say you shouldn't self diagnose (how do you THINK to get help then? A GP WON'T know). Once you're treated, you realise how messed up people were in your live for abusing you for having it. That's why I hate people dredging up her old content. She's TRYING to move on. ADHD is tough.

"Is this video going to be about ADHD" & "Are you going to blame EVERYTHING on ADHD"; maybe, yeah. I've lost COUNTLESS relationships learning people I thought had my best interest were suppressing me to exploit me. Why are you allowed to talk about the abuse from Colleen & we listen but you can't with ADHD? Strange.

@@infjmale91I hope Adam sees this comment and understands the place it’s coming from. I genuinely think he was just unaware of the actual impacts of ADHD and how life changing it can be once you treat it. I struggled with severe mental health issues until grade 11 (when I was diagnosed) and it was like a switch flipped. Finally understanding why you are the way that you are is so relieving. Of course, that doesn’t mean you get an excuse for poor decisions, but it does provide a reason why that decision was made.

@@Puffamallow He won't. I warned him on X too but he won't. It's too tempting. Too easy. It's the sad reality of live that commentary channels LOVE to criticize & it's ALWAYS okay. @@infjmale91 it's because Gabbie tends to use ADHD diagnosis as a shield, and to deflect any criticism. Look, I've also been diagnosed as an adult, and I dislike the way people now talk about ADHD as though it's a f**king quirk or a personality trait. Because of how Gabbie is talking about it, it makes it come across that ADHD is the catch all defense to all the sh ite she's started.
@infjmale91Ай бұрын
@@kedaver263 But that's the problem though. It works BOTH ways. It's like when I first found out, I was angry. I did want retribution. Then I took time to heal from it & learn about the differences/challenges. I even took a course so I can help people with it & support networks. After, I decided to just draw a line in my past (before I knew) & forgive people who may have exploited me/not told me I had it etc (teachers, family, friends etc). Usually if I meet someone from my past (not very often), I may bring up that I was recently diagnosed & do get a lot of "I had a feelings" vs "No way" or "My cousin has that". It usually deflates any awkwardness/faux pas I may have exhibited when I was around them & sorts it self out. It's like an unsaid handshake of "I'm sorry I was annoying & untreated for my ADHD" & they are like "I'm sorry I didn't know the signs & suggest you get checked out or was harsh to you knowing you have ADHD". Same with Gabbi. Just let us let her just move on now & try to recover a crumb of her platform back without there being relentless torrents of negativity. Fine the born again Christian thing is so old hat, at this point but at least it's something & shows some level of growth. She did apologize & EVEN got ripped on that BECAUSE she didn't directly mention people. It's like you're damned if you don't & damned if you do. Just forgive & move on. If I held grudges for EVERYONE who ever wronged me who hasn't said sorry; I'd be 40 years older in stress/fatigue. You can't wait for people to apologize for EVERYTHING they do wrong; it just doesn't happen. No one is perfect, that's life. So let's try to just not dig up the hatchet & let her grow. Ultimately MOST social influencers (even Adam) are a bit narcissistic otherwise WHY would they enjoy doing it & getting attention?

I think all sensitive people (me included) at some point come to the realization that not all situations and all people are right for them. Wtf if you don't want to be filmed at that moment maybe be an adult and talk shit out. Grabbing her phone and smashing it is something a highschool boy would do, not a grown ass man.

Even a high school boy should know better.

Feel like this deserves to be said, I think Gabbie Hanna is gorgeous and her nose is gorgeous too it really pulls all her features together. I don't care what people think about her she deserves to know that shes pretty regardless because she really is.

Rebecca black is such a sweetheart. I actually ended up meeting her in 2014, i was in a really anxious state & i remember she was so kind and caring💖 I really love her music too. Everyone always talks about Friday yet don’t acknowledge her other songs. They’re so good!!

I remember when this happened and my older brother was a ricegum fan. I liked Gabbie at the time and couldn’t believe that he could watch ricegum content. This time was so backwards:/ I don’t support Gabbie now but that doesn’t change what happened in this situation.

The revisits are so fun! For modern drama can you talk about the Clinton Kane allegations from Brook Schofield?

It's normal for people to be diagnosed with ADHD and deny medication, it doesn't mean you're self diagnosing, also some people cannot afford to see a dr and know they have it due to family history and strong symptoms, although self diagnosing isn't good, sometimes it is needed when there's no other option

I remember this video so vividly. Words really hurt, people not believing you really hurts... I'm so proud of tana and Trisha for always being girls girls. I know gabby has her issues but NO ONE deserves what they did to her, imo

I'm 25 and I was born with dens in dente in two of my teeth! If you don't know what that is, it means I have a tooth inside of my tooth! Both of those teeth ended up needing root canals probably because they were naturally weird (literally me) BUT one of the teeth beside them also needed a root canal!! So here I am quarter of the way through life and I've have 3 root canals and the two dens in dente teeth now have crowns on them :) Sometimes you're born with bad teeth!! Taking care of them is a MUST unless you just want a full mouth of crowns or veneers.

as someone who knows nothing about gabbie hanna outside of adam's videos, I think that most people are biased against her because of opinions they have about her from other situations. like, she doesn't seem nearly as awful as people make her out to be from what I've seen so far, so I assume that she's done bad things that I haven't seen yet. but because of that, people are judging her unfairly in the situations that I have seen. I don't think I'm communicating that very clearly.

The gasp I gusped. The GH drama has been my comfort topic of long form videos I listen to at work for like a year and I've been hoping someone would come back and revisit this with a 2024 lens and a lot of the videos were reuploads I had saved to my playlist that were deleted so I've moved on to a new topic (coincidentally, your Bye Sister revisit 🥰) so thank you very much for doing this Adam ❤

Tbh adam id love u to talk about this again in the context of like, feeling for and acknowledging gabbie as a victim but not excusing where she went- from your perspective as someone who went through so much youtuber bullshit and was able to stand up to your bullies with integrity- its like damn some people change for the worst (gabbie) or for the better (adam) cause tbh ur one of the only drama channels i love
