Summer Nights is such a great collection. ILNP is my favorite brand in part because of their collection theming, and I genuinely look forward every time to what seasonal vibe they'll roll out! Skate Date is one I particularly look forward to wearing each summer. :D

Ok I’m OBSESSED with this summer nights collection!!!! I honestly don’t know why I don’t have them all! These are so my jam. I have pink flamingo and pool party, but now I think I need the rest! I especially love skate date and opal sunset! 💖👏🏻🥰They remind me of these gorgeous colorful Venetian glassware I saw when we were in Venice in 2016. I kick myself for not picking them up. But I was worried about getting them home. I’ll have to show you a photo. Next time I go I’m def getting some glassware in Venice and shipping it home. ☺️

I also got the matte top coat in PR and I’m sooo impressed with it! I’ve been wearing it over strawberry shake for 5 days now and it’s still extremely matte even after oiling, hand washing, showers, cleaning, changing diapers, etc! I also noticed they’re marketing this as a top coat that will lock in the color and help with longevity, which makes me think maybe we shouldn’t need to apply a quick dry top coat first? I’m curious to try it as a stand alone top coat!

omg yay thank you so much for sharing your experience!! i’m so glad it’s impressed you too. and yeah i think i did see that in their initial announcement post, that you wouldn't need a qdtc before applying! that would be even more impressive lol but i would be more than happy with it staying matte for more than 2-3 days 😝

I love how pretty the shimmers look as a skittle. I am wearing a shimmer skittle mani as well. I tried a shimmer polish sandwich with matching flakies as the middle layer. It is so subtle and pretty for spring. It was a successful experiment.

Yeah sometimes polishes can just be super shifty and change depending on the lighting too so it can be tough to get an idea sometimes, especially for these shimmery sheers! Love love Summer Nights, my favorite ILNP collection! 🥰So sparkly ✨, jelly, and versatile, and make my fairy wings mani dreams come true 🧚🏽‍♀ I own Downtown (my fave), Pool Party (my 2nd fave), Skate Date and Pink Flamingo, and have the other two at the top of the wishlist, and with that gorgeous skittle you did, I def. need to get them soon so I can recreate that! I'm a fan of sheer polish for topping/jelly sandwich possibilities. I just took off a mani where I sandwiched Downtown b/w Lumen's Glass Jellyfish, and I like using Pool Party atop a purple or blue cream. Happy you reviewed one of ILNP's greatest hits, b/c it's always great to see how deep and diverse the ILNP catalog is. They truly have some of the best collections in the nail game, imo.

I think pool party and skate date look best on top of a cream. It gives it that punch im looking for. Skate date over zoya Lillian and pool party over synthetic symphony or ilnp high dive or hi score. Try it on a swatch stick and i think youll like it.

I love buying COLLECTIONS from ILNP more than any other brand. My favorite summer collection is still At Sea...I think because there is great variability of the colors, yet it all hangs together. I have never bought Holo Taco...I just can't get jazzed about the mad dash and competitiveness to obtain collections. I appreciate that ILNP's collections are around long enough that if I can't afford a collection at release, I will have time to pick it up later. I also love the way ILNP goes on...I don't mind doing three thin coats and I rarely get flooded cuticles with ILNP.

yess their collections/themes are just SO good! not to mention the formulas too, yeah i never really minded much “needing” 3 coats for their polishes. they just build up so beautifully! & omg i loveee the At Sea Collection too, such a fun one, i think Riley was actually one of my very first ILNP iirc 🥹 i’m actually missing a few from that set but am hoping to pick them up soon. totally love the absence of fomo from their launches too, i know Holo Taco has gotten better the past year but.. idk the community also plays a role in how fun/exciting a launch can be too, but they usuallyyy can be the most off putting 🙈

Do you have any linear holos from ILNP? I'm on a mission to get rainbow linear holos. I have some in my wishlist for Holo Taco and Mooncat. What do you think about ILNP? I am hoping to find a formula that is super sharp and obnoxious xD

ahh sadly the only linear holo i have from them is Evermore! it’s SUPER holo tho, so i imagine their holos would be just as good? the formula is a bit thinner compared to Holo Taco and Mooncat linears where the latter brands can be one coaters, but iirc ILNP only needed 2! while they all shine in the sun, i think ILNP and Mooncat have the best rainbow flares under indoor/desk lighting

I so enjoyed the review of an older collection. Considering this collection was released four years ago, it looks pretty fresh. I was on my polish sabatical at that time and cannot really judge if ILNP is truly avantgarde, the polish world hasn‘t changed much or the trends are already coming back after four years. I was just thinking: I bet it's a better match to Pixie Hollow. Then you echoed me. I bought one niece Pixie Party and her sister Pink Flamingo as one likes fairies and the other flamingos. (Fairy Dust for purple-loving me.) Skate Date could be worn in winter, spring or summer. It's on my lengthy list of ones to acquire from ILNP this year. BTW: The Dam does have more of a pearl factor to its pink shimmer as I accidentally put the one I found in a destash in the washing machine with my new leggings. So, I saw it deconstructed. :-( Don't recommend.

Is it impossible for brands to release an opaque polish these days? Your swatches are gorgeous as always, but I'm a staunch VNL hater so I'm annoyed by the current polish trend of releasing shades that are basically variations on sparkly water. If it's not opaque in 3, it might as well be a topper.
