The beauty of the final scene of the season was that it was able to convey so much with no dialogue. I showed the final scene in its entirety to a friend of mine who had never seen Letterkenny (since there are plenty of YT clips of the entire scene) and asked if they understood everything being conveyed and without knowing the characters they could work it out. That's storytelling brilliance.

One of the things that really sells the final 3 mins of the season is that the cast very rarely are seen running. That shows how important family is to a small town and how badly he fucked up by hurting Katy. They ran full tilt to defend Katy's honor. Wayne didn't even need to say a word either. They read the look on his face and that was all that needed to be said. Yea that finale was extremely well written.

It was like the "Red Wedding" of the show. All thus far building up to that short moment of terror/joy/blood/loss.

That first opening with Wayne going into a shack cause he was depressed was fucking art. There was no dialogue just music and you totally felt Wayne’s pain. Letterkenny may be hilarious but it’s also heartfelt

Starting to give a shit about this show. For reals though. I commented on a previous video that your breakdown finally got me to watch the whole show. It's phenomenal. Based on your ending comments about balancing comedy and drama, you should absolutely do this for scrubs. Except that it's a network show with 8 seasons. But at the very least watch it of you haven't. It's my favorite comedy series of all time. Maybe you could do one longer piece on the show as a whole. Quick primer for key episodes in Season 1 The pilot The one where one of the three new med students loses a patient The one with the pizza that JD shares with Elliott The one with Brendan Fraser Any scene between the janitor And JD. This will be their ongoing relationship

Let's tally that final scene: Wayne (who was both running AND didn't bother popping his cuff-buttons), Dary, Dan , Mr. MacMurray, Mrs. MacMurray (technically one of Katey's exes), Jonsey & Riley (her exes), Stewart (an ex who just learned how to fight and is now rocking both confidence and an extra stone of muscle), Gayle (who I believe is Katey's secret best friend), and possibly Bonnie MacMurray, although she was still in the back looking concerned. Yeah, haven't seen season nine yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the show suddenly didn't turn into an episode of Fargo.

Even though I love Rosie, I think it made no sense to have Marie Fred cheat on Wayne out of nowhere. They had such a good, balanced relationship and there were no hints of her being unhappy or two faced, etc.. I also, find it interesting that Marie Fred would drive all the way over, just to tell Wayne that Dierks may be cheating on Katy. She was engaged to Wayne, cheated on him for no reason and then was kicked in the crotch by Katy, do you really see her trying to look out for Katy after that? lol I'm guessing the writers needed more storyline so that's why they had all this happen but I think Rosie and Wayne are way too similar to work in the long run. I will probably be wrong in terms of the show, but I think in real life, the personalities of Wayne and Marie Fred just work better because they balance each other out. Obviously, this isn't real life and I wish MF never cheated on Wayne but just my thoughts. Also, the scene with that song and everyone running was one of the coolest, most satisfying and exciting scenes I've ever seen! You never really see Wayne or anyone else run on the show so the contrast of them all running to defend Katy's honor made it that much more impactful. Is it cool if I write another comment regarding my thoughts towards season 9 here or is that too spoiler-y? I know you're not going to be posting the season 9 video for a while so wanted to get my thoughts out somewhere haha

Marie-Fred's sudden cheating is still one of those things that boggles my mind every time I think about it. Throughout all the times we saw her up until that point where it's revealed, she was perfectly content and showed no signs of being disloyal like how we saw with Dierks. Still one of those Letterkenny moments that leaves me scratching my head, but hey, I'm hoping we finally get more of an insight on what exactly went through her head in season 10. And in regards to the end of your comment, I try to keep it spoiler-free for the most part (at least until I upload the next installment, which will be soon (hopefully the next week or so)). I've learned that there are many people actually using this series as a means to watching the show since it's not available in their region, so I'm really trying to respect that. If it's not too spoilery, definitely go ahead! I just don't want to ruin the experiences for others if it can't wait until Revisiting Letterkenny: Season 9 is out.
