Revisiting my 2023 FAVORITES... Still the best??

Because of the fading you mention, and sometimes wanting more intensity from the shadows I got my first midi ND this year - the Golden palette. So far I like it much more than a mini I had. I’m also realising that the right colour story appealing to you and overall aesthetic of a palette matters a lot. Loving tan shades than lean a bit yellow and neutral golden at the moment.

My favourites from last year are the same as this one : Hourglass palettes (the butterfly then the leopard), Suqqu loose face powder which is soo blurring, and Suqqu eyeshadows- the sunflower collection and 03 signature brown from the permanent line is already on its last legs and I’ve bought a replacement in vinted. It’s the first eyeshadow I’ve got pan on and almost used up! I also have a lot of fading with Suqqu and other Japanese makeup but as you say I like how it fades and sometimes I prefer it a bit lived in. I also carry it with me and can reapply with the little brushes it includes.

Oh I’m happy to know your favorites! Suqqu eyeshadows are a staple. And I managed to use them much more now that I Depotted them!

Tom Ford Rose Irise is my favorite highlighter ever. There’s something about its formula that makes it melt into the skin like butter. It doesn’t look like a highlighter at all; instead, it gives a true glow from within and makes the skin look its absolute best. I’d love to see a powder from him in a similar formula. If I had known I’d love it so much, I would’ve bought a second one. As for Dior Pastel Glow, I don’t like it on the eyes, but I love it as a highlighter on the face. Like you said, it’s similar to the TF formula, so I use all the shades, except for the darkest one, as my highlighter. Wishing you a smooth and safe move! Good luck settling into your new place!

My move is going to be in ~ 2months. I will organize a moving out sale and I’m going to address all the bureaucracy needed in the meanwhile. It will be a tough start of the year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I need to put that highlighter in my top drawer and see if I desire to open it 🤣

I think all of my 2023 favourites are still products I enjoy thoroughly. I have an old le tin of those meterorites and I never use them. It's a pity. I never really know how to use them...

Btw, Ensley Reign is out of favor in the beauty community. I did not see what they did recently, but multiple influencers have said they will no longer support the brand. I’m with you on the Guerlain vs Hourglass powders. Hourglass all the way. But I have the new Pucci case and a prior Pucci case. I love Pucci so I am keeping that.
