I recently bought Allison Bornstein's Wear It Well book and I'm going to revisit the pieces of clothing that I identified as my 'not nows' - pieces of clothing that I'm not ready to get rid of but also don't want to wear.

Unless you are feeling very firm about it, I would recommend trying out one pair of the linen shorts and styling them. They looked like a nice fit for you. Other summers are hotter and they don’t take up much space. That sounds like an interesting book read.

Lovely video! Enjoyed the try on shown with each piece. I’ve settled into the autumn 🍂 color season as well, through “dressing your truth “ which in that world, autumn is classified as type 3 (4 types total). The texture, v necks and moss green camisole really suit you!

I find a lot of use from my linen shirts in the summer. If you had, for example, a cream/flax/beige one you could wear it will any of those shorts tucked in and roll up the sleeves. If you have a short sleeve button down you can pop it over your tank top as a sort of jacket so you don’t feel like you’re showing too much skin. Regarding your other video with the fitted shirt and TS tshirt, I think it needs a 3rd piece like a denim jacket or I think I’m seeing an army type jacket hanging up. Try it with that! Try a couple of the camisoles under your blazer with a pair of jeans. I also have a bandeau that I wear under anything with skinny straps as I feel better when my bra straps don’t show. And I find traditional strapless bras uncomfortable.

I’m just realizing that I don’t wear camisoles either! Even under sweaters (jumpers) in the winter I prefer at least a short sleeve tee. I also agree on the colored bottoms. One reason you MIGHT like the khaki colored ones is that they are not such a large contrast with your leg color. A side note: I have finally booked an appointment with House of Colour in Sioux Falls, SD for color analysis AND style analysis all in one day! Very excited to have someone else’s input 😊
