As a die hard long-time Pewds fan, James and Pewds were never close. Pewds basically did Minecraft livestreams with him once or twice for the "meme" bc why tf would these two interact. I don't believe at all that Pewds worked or talked behind the scenes with him for anything other than some gaming streams. Pewds gives advice to every shitty youtuber apology, it's kinda his saying "come to me for apology videos". He means it more as a joke than literal at all. I think Pewds simply stoked the fire of this drama for fun and put James on his livestream for clicks and laughs

yeah im pretty sure felix has mentioned not really being very close with many other youtubers besides his closer friends like sean, mark and ken. which makes a lot of sense i mean hes a grown adult whos also now starting a family living his best life. also why would he and james ever even be friends in the first place? they got nothing in common 😭😭

he’s low key a very moral person. when things seem genuinely off or sketchy, he clocks it IMMEDIATELY. i’ve noticed it especially in his reaction videos with ken like it doesn’t matter what narrative the video is trying to spin, if he notices something is up, he’s gonna say it. not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars he donated to charity. honestly it’s probably in the millions now. looking back, i feel like a lot of his genuine controversies were rooted in his mental health and alcoholism problems. i’m not a therapist, but ever since he got into philosophy and started prioritizing his mental and physical health, he just seems a lot less angry. like i really don’t think he’s a bad person, i think he had “edgy humor” when he was younger, and pushed it too far when he was angry. cuz when he talks about his actual views on things, he seems very considerate and empathetic towards other people’s situations. that’s the way i always felt about him anyways. it’s not like i know him, it’s just crazy to me how many people don’t know how much he has grown since 2017.

It’s something people def overlook. But I do enjoy the direction of his videos now and I’d be lying if I said I don’t watch lolol

I don't think James got inspired to make "No more lies" by this Pewds' video because "No More Lies" came out just 2 days after this Pewds' video. And I do not believe that him and his team would be able to do this whole investigation and structure the info so well + write the script in just 2 days. And that one was scripted! We see in this dumb apology how he sounds when he's unscripted. I think the vid was in the works when this Pewds' video came out.
