@robertstambulovski A lot of Catholics never saw or experienced sexual abuse first hand. A lot of boy scouts never saw or experienced sexual abuse first hand. That doesn't mean it. I was a JW 36 years myself, including childhood. So was it Jehovah's divine instruction to refuse to give the courts the files that would help bring these ones doing such vile UNGODLY THINGS to children? Was it Jehovah who caused the men and women and childrenwho were victims to finally step forward to the elders only to be called liars and even disfellowshipped? While the same assailants STILL sit in Kingdom Halls with families absolutely unaware of who and what they are? If you are still a believing Jehovahs Witness, fine. But that means you believe that it is God's chosen people. You believe that the Governing Body is tasked with taking care of that people. You believe that every CO, every elder, every MS, every brother in the chain of command (and don't say there isn't one) answers to Bethel and ultimately to the Governing Body who you believe answers to Jesus. And you expect anyone to believe that with so much coverage of CSA, the Governing Bodies reaction was to tell its members to ignore that news and oh yOu CaN gRoW a BeArD aNd nOt RePoRT TiMe. THAT was the important thing? Let's just take Jehovah out of the equation for a moment. Because quite frankly you don't need God to know that someone who MOLESTS A CHILD should not be in society. They should be reported to the very authorities that God himself put in place. Romans 13:1 Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. Titus 3:1 Continue reminding them to be in subjection and to be obedient to governments and authorities, to be ready for every good work, To say that Jehovah is going to act in his due time is COMPLETELY MISSING THAT HE ALREADY PUT THINGS IN PLACE TO DEAL WITH THESE THINGS AND THEY ARE NOT BEING USED. He has literally put those things in place to deal with crime. Period. Full stop. So is Watchtower fighting against them for God's glory or their own? Because the mindset I see makes me come to one of two conclusions. Either 1) it is not God's chosen religion and they are actively going against the very system of justice he has put in place for its appointed time in an attempt to not look bad or 2) it is God's chosen people and he has told his top anointed brass to do all they can to bury child abuse because screw the kids and everything his son said about them while on earth. The image of his earthly organization is way more important. Which is it??

Thanks for the retrospective. I was 26 when this came out and I felt so uncomfortable about it and didn't know why. Perhaps because there was nothing in here for a 26 year-old single woman to connect with. It felt like a struggle to get excited by this, and I ended up having to be excited on behalf of other people, like children. The emphasis on "yang wans" also disturbed me. When I was 7 years old I was studying the Revelation Climax book. I was prepared for Armageddon to come. I never got close to anyone or valued my belongings. I was ready to GO! And then some 20 years later they've invested in a televangelist system? And they're trying to appeal to children? I was so turned off.

"...many long days went into planning its design...", "The purchasing department ordered hundreds of items in record time." "A scout team got busy searching for a suitable location." "The brothers vacated the area in just one week.", and on and on. Sounds like a lot of human planning and effort to me, not Jehovah's hand. When you have enough resources (as in free labor), money (as in contributions), and determination, they can deflect all they want, but in the end it was human effort, just as it is in everything.

It is so ridiculous that they boast the ability to complete a project in less time than anyone else on the planet. A man-hour is a man-hour. No single man is doing more in 60 minutes that is HUMANLY possible. They just throw a sh!t-ton of man-hours at it. Like you said, it's free labor, so they have an endless resource of pairs of hands. I worked on around a dozen quick-build KH projects. Nothing magical was happening, there were just 800 ding-dongs all bumping into each other. Literally, when standing the first wall, there would be one man to each stud. So, in about 8 seconds 40 men all drove 3 nails each and a wall was framed. It's not magic. It's about resources.
@garryiglesias407411 ай бұрын
Nothing magical BUT... They are CULTISTS, which makes them willing to overperform (for free), it's a fact that those people will do a better job for their god (organization) than for a worldly company. So denying the performance is stupid, but pointing at: it's normal for deluded people to do their best, is SCIENCE. Not to mention that they didn't do any research or innovations: they just apply a standardized job by the book.

Exactly; we’re talking about 100’s of brothers & sisters on a project. We had a major remodel on our KH years ago, and we had 3 congregations that attended there. So u’re talking about the RBC members (at that time), which was about 20 brothers directing, & roughly 200-300 brothers & sisters/day, willingly giving their time on this assignment b/c they thought this is for God. Once the remodel was done in like 2 weeks, the deed of the KH was turned over to WT, although the KH was bought & paid for by the original members in like the early 80’s! The LDS & Church of Scientology both claim about having God’s backing as they have an endless amount of free labor from its members on their projects, as well. There’s no Unions, work stoppage, or OT, or even budget crisis…so yeah, it’s easy to get projects done when there’s zero red tape b/c it’s all free labor, not Holy Spirit.

I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the "saints". Your best life is how you view what your best life is, as long as you don't harm yourself or others.

No treasure in heaven. They spent "Jehovah's" money building studios for their own propaganda. They did not not, have not, spent any of "Jehovah's" money to feed or clothe the poor, the orphan or the widow. All of their treasures are here on earth.
