Cool I wasn't finding out why when I export a certain file from blender to Revit as OBJ, it had the mesh lines. Then I just used "right click -> shade smooth" in Blender and it solved my problem! Thanks for the insight.

Yep, one often has to resort to trial and error methodology when transferring geometry. Glad to hear you found the solution.

Mine still show so what's wrong with it :

Thanks. This is useful. Have you tried IFC as well? That would e.g. be used if one exports geometry from Archicad.

Thats interesting question. I did not test IFC. But these days IFC workflow becomes more and more relevant, so I guess I will test that and let you know of the results.

@@BIMforInteriorDesign great, looking forward to learning of the results you get.

Hi, I finally got to test the IFC import/link. There seems to be no smoothing of edges even in Revit 2023. I only tested IFC export from Revit and than import, so there might be different results when importing ArchiCAD IFC, but I doubt it. Mesh quality is not a priority of IFC file format in my opinion, so I wouldn't hold my breath to see improvements in this area.

Hi ! Nice video … i’m having a weird problem with obj import from blender…. When i import obj file from blender with texture to revit, mesh with texture map show in view but meshes without texture map doesn’t appear in view as they don’t exist or hidden… when i delete .mtl file the mesh appear normally but i’ll lose all the texturings… do you have any solution to my problem !

Hi, I never encountered this problem so I don't have a solution.

I have an OBJ file with a texture. How can I import it into Revit? I opened it with Blender, and when I export it to Revit, I lose the texture on the 3D object.

HI. How can you convert .skp to .axm without FormIt Pro?
@BIMforInteriorDesign2 жыл бұрын
I think it's not possible to import .skp files to FormIt free, so there is no way to achieve what you are looking for without FormiIt Pro.
