Excelent man, it doesn’t matter if the wattage is incorrect, this is a tutorial to learn how to do it in Revit, so it’s great, thanks Balkan, see you tomorrow.

It was important for him to show that you can't connect a 277V device to 120V panel. They are different voltage (not wattage).

I am just learning the electrical part too and found some video that mentions that the two ways revit draws the wires are actually 2 different conventions, the arc is for concealed wires and the chamfered for exposed wires. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the crash course! Nicely done. I would have liked to see some editing options, like how do I remove outlets from a circuit without deleting the outlet. Or move an outlet to another circuit. Still nice job.

This tutorial for beginners is very good, you showed in a general way the main elements, it will be necessary to deepen more according to the laws of each country. In my country it is customary to place the number of cables with gauge and diameter of the pipe that leads in each electrical circuit, how are they placed in the electrical plane? greetings from Mexico.

what is the difference between a power plan and a lighting plan. Why draw sockets in the lighting plan?
@ElectricRobАй бұрын
A lot of questions below - I'll try to answer a few. If you don't see a POWER button when you try to circuit a receptacle, you may be using an "architectural" family that does not have an electrical connection - in the Autodesk Cloud, look for an MEP version to download which will have the proper connection. If you can't connect anything to your panel, make sure the panel has a "Distribution system" assigned to it in the instance Properties dialog - the device you are trying to connect must be set to a voltage that is within the distribution system of the panelboard. You can use an AutoCAD file as a background architectural plan, but you won't have walls to host your devices - you would then need to use "Non-hosted" receptacles, switches, etc. which are typically custom made. Or you can add walls into your model over the CAD walls - lots of work of course, but possible. Hope this helps!

Probably the depth of view. The panel sits higher up the wall then the outlets.
