It was a lesson that taught a lot. I was also looking for comprehensive information about the scope box. thanks

As ever, super clear and extremely useful. A seemingly complex feature broken down and simplified perfectly.

...this is the most underrated feature of revit, should've taught first to beginners right from the start after grids & levels.

Absolutely. It is amazingly powerful when users know how to leverage scope boxes correctly. Niall

Hi, Thank you for the tutorial, I have a question regarding the visibility in 3D. Is there either out of the box or via Dynamo a way to control the visibility of the section box in a way that for example it makes everything inside look in a way and everything outside halftone for example, and not be invisible. So, using the section box as a highlighter.

Really good video, my congrats to be honest!. I'd just have one question regarding extending grids and levels to a scope box. Can you extend the grids and levels to 2 or more scoping boxes? So I got one scope box (A) for the entire footprint of my project and then a smaller scope box (B) just showing a room of the project. If a extend all the grids and levels to scope box (A) they work fine for all the views that got applied the scope box A. But when I want to show the smaller room which is cropped with scope box (B) I see that the grids and levels on these new views are extended to scope box (A). Since I got common levels and grids on both scope boxes I struggled so I don't know what is the best practice in this case. Basically the question is how to set it up when 2 or more scope box intersect with each other and you got to about 20 drawings with scope box (A) set up and another 20 with scope box (B) applied. Thank you very much!

Doesn't dragging them by 2d after snapping to the scope box defeat the purpose😮

Why is my scope box not cutting the model
@8020BIM3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Scope Boxes do not cut the model by themselves but merely give an extent by which views can be assigned to cut the model. In the 3D View Type Properties you can turn on the "Section Box" which you can control and cut the model with. Do you have any questions regarding an element of the tutorial specifically that I could give further guidance on? Niall
