Nice tutorial! Thanks for the explaination. Do you think it would be possible to create area load diagrams with this tool? For example a plan showing the superimposed dead load, another plan showing the live loads etc. But in this case it would be nice if there was an option to split the rooms different zones, to assign different value of load if need be, even if there is not a physical barrier at such as a wall dictating the zonation.

Nice video. Very well explained as usual. I don't understand why Autodesk doesn't let us add more parameters to the colour legend such as areas. It would be great if we could have "colour, name of space AND surface". Each time a new release of Revit comes out i hope to find this new functionnality but unfortunately they don't add it.

I agree. I would even like it if you could apply the colour schema to a schedules o that when you drag a schedule onto a sheet it could take on the scheme from the plan as requested on that sheet alone, not across every instance of the schedule. This would give the best of both worlds 🤔

@@8020BIM Absolutely. There is so much to add to enhance many functions in Revit. Not to mention the weird behaviour in stairs arrows or ramp tags due to view range. They should have fixed that before adding "slanted walls" in the latest release. Thank you agai,n for your excellent videos and Take care!

Question. I have a set of colours from Autocad which is known as .acb files. Would it be possible to import that file into revit?

I James, thanks for getting in touch. I have no experience personally of trying to migrate AutoCAD Colour Books into Revit - I assume they would require some conversion process as a direct import of the acb files are not natively supported. I do remember a series of addons from years ago, think they were called "RevitTv Addons" which had something called "RVT Paint" - if memory serves that allowed you to convert teh acb into revit native colours. I may be mistaken but might be an avenue worth exploring. Hope this is in some way useful. Niall

@@8020BIM Hi Niall, thanks for getting back to me. Will look into the suggestions. It has been a headache for me to export colours from one software to another espically Revit doesnt seem to allow importing of colours easily. Thanks again for the suggestions James
