Nice detailed video , I got my 2016 3.2 Ford Endeavour Battery changed 2 months back. It was a 60Ah white battery OEM. I ordered online of Amaron Flo 65Ah. Cost me Rs. 5,500/- . Same month manufacturing date. I just reset the power windows to one touch , rest nothing needed to be reset apart from time to 12h.

yes nothing needs to be done for till 2019 models as there is no BMS. in 2.0 there is a BMS and that needs to be reset manually. Further I had a moisture issue in the fuse box and hence I was getting the error but all sorted for now.

Hiii sir, I think it is 74AH battery , and oem battery is 60AH and it’s been more than a year you have changed the battery of ford endeavour , I have two questions , 1. Is there difference when you start the car ? Long or short self 2. How’s battery performing , did you face any problems regarding alternator ? Is it taking any kind of load ? Yes. You are right the battery was 74AH. The self was short self only. I suspected the battery but it turned out to be a fuse box issue. Alternatively when i reach mumbai the battery and fuse box both are changed so no problem as of now. Alternator was working fine.

It was already crossed 3 yrs and when i checked the gravity one of the cell was weak.

My endeavour battery had drained off after stopping it for 10 days. When I jump start and start using it works without any issues. It’s been 4 years, mechanic says to replace it since they say 4 years is more than enough life for battery. What is your opinion, I plan to run it for some more time.

In my mind battery works based on the charging cycle does not get detoriate drastically over time on its own. The best way to check it is get the battary chagred from any local battary guy and see the discharge pattern. The vehicle alternator is not capable of full charging of old battery (ah and not the V). Further the battery becomes weak as it consumes the available charging cycle. also every battery has a different charging cycle (mine is 6000) if you have consumed the charging cycle then it is better to change it. Also, figure out any current leakage in the vehicle wiring. may be some external fitting + default current consumption (even if the vehicle is not used) is more than the battery charge holding capacity. Also get the battery inspected for any cell failure, if any cell is weak then you should change immediately as it may get dead any time.
