A soft answer turns away wrath but grevious words stir up anger. A really good table talk! Thanks women of God!

I am physically alone listening to this. Spiritually, I know I'm not. Your comment in the first episode about a mother listening to these with her daughter in another state really inspired me to reach out to my mom to do the same. THANK ALL FOUR OF YOU

Oh my goodness, I was studying the book of Abigail and the Holy Spirit told me to search KZbin for a teaching and here I am binge watching your videos. This teaching could not have come at a better season. I too have 3 boys and I now understand why my fuse is so short, it’s because it was there all along and God is exposing it. Standing ovation for pointing that out (20mins into the podcast). I so repent! Thank you ladies 🙌🏾 🙏🏾 thank you

Ladies, you did a great job at hashing through Nabal’s character. Also, thanks for keeping it real about David, because in this instance he was as Prideful as Nabal. Looking forward to your next podcast!

Lol at "and because we don't like Nabal!" "Sometimes somebody needs to throw me a cheesesteak." 😆🤣 I really needed that lightness to laugh. Great concept. Thank you.

Yall didn't ask my opinion, but maybe I can shed some light here? David sinned a LOT like we all do. I think what abigail did was stop david from breaking one of the commandments, thou shall not murder. This was premeditated. He let his anger drive him to almost sin, and would have sinned if abigail did not intercede. That's why he was so moved by her actions and thankful! Also, not only that, but he thought her so valuable he wanted her as his wife after nabal died! Extraordinary story! I love this bible study so much! Thank you all for your commentary!

I state often that you don't have to get revenge on miserable people. Their lives are the revenge. And until they change their attitude and outlook on life, they will always be miserable.

He does say David had a heart after God’s. But I agree that we can’t assume someone’s heart. But the quote from Proverbs about what comes out of your mouth is from the heart. So many are joking about foul things. Or they say hateful things about certain groups. It’s pride month and I’m sure many have opinions about that. But what if we take the position that Abigail does of being humble, taking the blame when it’s not her fault, trust God to deal with the evil, don’t be evil to the evil. Chose love and trust God to smite those whose hearts are evil. The worst of people are prideful and the enemy is the devil. Having a generous heart and repentant heart and a humble heart is what Abigail is teaching us.

I disagree with the pride comment. If I were to think that I was better than someone else and respond to everything based on that mindset, that would be pride. We have to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. If someone is trying to harm me, I will defend myself. Just like defending your neighbor if someone tries to harm them.
