Awesome job as always! You got lucky that the engine and gearbox were already set and ready to go LOL! Also I like the drone footage at the end there! Looks like good outtro material!

Wow that’s awesome, within 20 tractors apart. And a nice early one! I’ve got an early 35 too. Where are you located?

That amazes me the distribution system from the factory. 20 tractors apart and 20hrs of travel apart

Shut it off its not a air cooled engine. It cranked hard after running because it's fresh and you got it hot. That's not good.

I can see your concern. I’m no expert, but I’ve learned a lot from the engines I’ve dealt with in the past. It did not have much compression before the first run. The rings were most likely alittle stiff from sitting so long. It’s common for an engine to gain compression after running its first time in awhile. These engines run at such little rpm’s, the test run we did won’t hurt anything. The most it would do would break the engine in. I appreciate your feedback, I always keep temperature in mind while doing first runs.

@ctyankeejr I work on these old tractors. It's what I do. Just trying to give you some advice. Bout a minute is really all you want to run one with no coolant. At one point I saw over 240 on your gun. Just the fact that it was sitting there puking steam you ran it too long and got it hot. Do what you want just trying to share some knowledge. One of the biggest mistakes people make on fresh engines is not properly break them in. You won't have good compression till you seat the rings. Good luck
