It’s times like these when you should consider investing in a quality life jacket… potentially even a helmet, though it’s too early to say if it will be going that fast. Actually, maybe a set of oars wouldn’t go astray😂. I know very little about boats, but Finnigan’s boats and now this… is a must watch for me. Love your work.

Luckily this is a big old heavy boat for a jetpump, so it will probably be slow. Either way I do have an auto inflating life jacket to throw on. Thanks for watching!

KEWL!!! I have an old 75 Sleekcraft similar to that boat. 455 Olds

That’s awesome! This boat originally came with an Olds 455 from what the previous owner said. We just got it as an empty hull. Glad yours is still going.

That might be what we repurpose it for when it doesn’t work in the boat

You can start with a Hamilton jet drive pump they are awesome 👌

It looks like Hamilton Jet is really doing some innovative things with jet pumps, so maybe one day we’ll be able to afford one. They look awesome.

For the water in the oil pan issue... How does your coolant system work? On my PWC, the procedure is to turn on the engine first, and make sure its running, then turn the water on after that. If you turn the water on first, it can back feed through the exhaust and enter the block.
@Motiv8Labs5 ай бұрын
Yep that's the same with all the Seadoos/jetskis I've ever come across as well. This one is a little different just because we built this exhaust like they do on raceboats where the only place the water can exit the system is at the very tip of the exhaust pipes and out onto the ground. So the only way water could leak into the exhaust ports and into the engine is if something is cracked inside the exhaust manifolds or tubing the we built. I'm still just hoping it's left over water from when it was stored outside for 10 years.

When does the ol' Camaro make a comeback?
@Motiv8Labs5 ай бұрын
We are trying to a find a dyno in DFW to get a baseline on the engine before we start messing with it more. I also bought some equipment to try and measure the aerodynamic pressures to see why we seem to keep making the car slower as we modify the nose of the Camaro. Will try and get some video of that soon.

@@Motiv8Labs sweet! Think it might be a case of too much front aero killing the top speed? Always a balance between more downforce for handling or less downforce for top speed. How does the car handle on the BBORR with no front aero additions?

Why not just pop the harness off the coil bracket and flip it over? 9:37
@Motiv8Labs4 ай бұрын
Yeah that would have been easier. The wiring on the back was so old and heat brittle I figured I’d just leave it alone.

@@Motiv8Labs that's fair. They do get pretty crunchy after a few years lol
