Your hair looks amazing! My hair is very thick, coarse and frizzy ... not as curly as yours, but frizzier. It is just past my shoulders. I just ordered this Revlon One Step today and I hope I could work it as well as you. Currently I use a blow dryer and a straightener. I would love this to do the trick and straighten & smooth it out in one step. My hairdresser always has to allow for more time ... just to blow dry & straighten my hair. Wish me luck!

Good luck! Remember to take your time and use small sections. Also, you could try putting some heat protectant and braiding your hair in 4 sections. Allow it to try a little and then start. It should help with the frizz. Let me know how it goes! 🙂🙂

@@SharleneR i bought the "fake one" because we dont have this brush in Belgium 😩 I hope it will be good because i read a lot of good reviews on the "fake" one it's the one step hair dryer and styler . I have curly hair like yours and long, so it's a time saver for me to have i brush like that. Because a brush and a blow dryer take me so long. Can you say how much watt this brush have please ? Thank you for the tutorial on "actual curly hair", I roll my eyes at what some people think is curly. I just purchased it and am trying to figure out whether or not to keep it. It seems like way to much work for the roots to straighten out. For me, if the roots don't match the rest, it's a waist of my time. I'm also interested in knowing how humidity effected your hair. I'd freak out if I spent all that time on my hair only to have a frizz fest.

I recently had this dryer and agree, it gets amazing results. The one problem I had with it was the hot tip when trying to use two hands to position it. I can’t find where anyone addresses this problem.

So, they have a smaller version with a ceramic core but they only sell it at Costco, and it's $10 more. :\ But I just got this one a couple weeks ago, tried it for the first time on my curly hair today, and love it. BUT definitely use it on low heat the majority of the time. I only used the high setting at the very end when getting volume on top. Also, yes use a blow dry lotion AND a heat protector. It did cut my time pretty much in half. (Takes me 25 minutes to do my hair with this, 30-40 minutes with a flat iron, and an hour & a half with a regular blow dryer/round brush.)

Yeah, no matter what I do I look like a poodle an hour in from stepping out into humidity. I heard a keratin treatment might help, but dont know. So I style my hair to look pretty for an hour or two basically. Maybe to go shopping or to a restaurant. Should I wear a hat? Makes me wonder if one of those hats with hair (half wigs) would be a good option.

Oh no! Keratin does help with frizz but you have to be so careful where you get it done. I got one years ago and my curls were ruined for a long time. I find that if I use a little bit of moose or hairspray it helps with taming the frizz. Also, using a flat iron just at the root could also help. Humidity with straightening curly hair has its challenges though. It’s a lot of trial and error.

But for me the Revlon causes the most heat damage for me because it only has one heat setting and that might be alittle damaging on some hair types

Hey Fatima, Just be patient with yourself and I’m sure you will do a great job! I never used it on high heat. I used low heat the entire time. Trust me that low heat gets hot Enough. 🙂. My hair lasted an entire week without having to blow dry again. I put my hair in a bun and sleep on a silk pillow. That helps a lot with frizz. 🙂.

I’m so glad I watched this video cause when I went to the salon to cut my hair the lady that was doing it asked me like how do I do my hair and I’m telling her I don’t really do anything to it cause it’s so curly and I just don’t have time to straighten it or blow dry but then I’m like but I seen this new tool by revel in it blow drys and curls your hair. How long did it stay this straight and styled. With my curly hair, after I blow dry and straighten it, it last like 4 hrs before my curls flex back into pieces of my hair. Lmk!!!!

Hey Naomi, Okay, so when I did this video my hair lasted a week. But! There was also low humidity in the air. Since I posted this video I’ve used it a few more times and my hair does frizz with high humidity. Sooo I had to put my hair in a bun and wrap it up just so it didn’t completely turn into a curl. So, if you live in a more humid climate I would use this in tandem with an iron. It would help with the frizz. Just make sure you use a heat protector and use the heat sparingly. Hope this helps!

Try to wrap your hair around it, then slowly brush the hair dryer down. reapet a few times btw!

Mine doesn't seem to stay straight though, it just becomes frizzy by the evening or the next day... any advice? I only use heat protection spray and a standard leave-in conditioner.

The blower will def give a more voluminous look vs a pin straight look. Whenever I feel like my hair is getting frizzy I put it on a low bun and let it stay like that for a little while and then pull it out again. Hopefully that helps!
