This is concerning. I have a 2020 with this valve body and the instruction did NOT MENTION anything about removing a check ball and placing it in the new valve body. Do you guys have more info on what that check ball is for? I did NOT have to do this for the 2020 68rfe and I’m concerned now.

I had a UD solenoid fault code, reset the code after I went into limp mode,and it hasn’t given me any more issues. I’m getting a revmax valve body, do you recommend replacing the solenoid or do you think it was a fluke? I’ve heard of a lot of 5th gen owners having this solenoid fault. Unfortunately my warranty is voided, so I’d have to eat the cost of the solenoid.

I had the same exact issue and I am running this exact valve body. I don't remember the exact mileage when I installed it but it was low 20k miles so I didn't opt for a new solenoid pack. My truck threw the code around 27k miles and hadn't done it again since and I currently have 31k. I'm beginning to think it's a software fluke. I did end up buying a new blue solenoid pack for under $300 from an online discount mopar parts retailer but haven't installed it yet. Due to parts shortages, I waited 2 months for the solenoid pack!

Great video, I just ordered one of the REVMAX Zero Flex HD/TOW Valve Body with a new Selenoid Pack for my 2007.5 6.7 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel. Hoping this fixes my problem that just happened, my truck switched to limp mode and stays in 4th gear. It threw a P0700 Code and now it's gone but the Truck is still not shifting out of 4th. I checked again and the code is gone. It showed a Exhaust Low Pressure Code, I put a brand new Exhaust Pressure Switch on about 4 months ago. The other day after it went to limp mode I pulled the Sensor and Tube and cleaned everything out. I did have to take a small drill bit and clean the orfice out cause it was clogged with soot. The weird thing is it dosen't show the Lighting Bolt or the Check Engine Light not even when it went into limp mode. Well see what happens. They have enough line pressure to hold 700 to 900 Hp but the over drive clutches will only take that for a couple of hits sir !

Honestly I would rock the stock unit until you upgrade the input shaft along with the converter . A good lock up with snap your factory one ! The torque is the killer

I installed one of these revmax billet valve bodies in my '19 last year and that auxiliary valve body gasket wasn't offered yet. I wonder how important it is? Perhaps they had leakage between the auxiliary valve body and the billet channel plate. Do you think it's worth contacting revmax to get one and add it to my revmax valve body?

@Ellis Hughes revmax recommends the tcc solenoid pi curve relearn now but they didn't when I installed mine. I didn't even perform a quick learn because I flashed a tune at the same time and then I drove really easy for a couple hundred miles.

Buddy you should edit or remove this video. You’re not supposed to leave the OEM metal TCC solenoid gasket and put the bonded Revmax gasket on top of it! You need to remove the metal one and replace it with the one Revmax provides.

Thanks for the comment! We will reach out to RevMax and again as we did before and have another opinion on the install. If we get a different answer then before we will update everyone in the video. We’ve had zero issues with this process so far but again we will get clarification on if this was wrong info!

Use the new bonded plate provided in the kit, discard the OEM metal plate. that is from revmax manual page 4. why you should not use the oem plate 2019-2020 have a safety recall for the separator plate show in video at 12:40 the plate that he is using is not a defective plate. the way to tell is the two small holes by fastener bolt (defective separator plate has 2 small holes identical in size replacement plate has 1 hole that's bigger than the other) i do appreciate the detail video and who knows if revmax had all the details when this video was made and reading other forms it looks like when the valve body was released there was no mention on doing a PI Curve Relearn now they require it on the 19+
